Food was delicious and they were happy to make little amendments to orders without any fuss.
Service staff were polite, but did have to be reminded to bring drinks and the sound of plates and cutlery being dropped when clearing tables happened a little too often.
The sound of the Chef shouting out orders was off putting at first, but we slowly got used to it.
The bench seating was comfortable, but the single chairs were far too large to be placed next to eachother at the table. All in all, it was a nice re-design, The food was excellent and the prices reflected the quality. We would definitely return.

It's quite smart really and I wasn't sure whether or not I'd feel uncomfortable with that but to be fair once I'd sat down, got my pint and had my order taken I felt quite relaxed. We sat out because it was a fine day but the road nearby was a bit intrusive. Shame they didn't design things so the outdoor area was behind a hedge or something. It's quite new and generally oozes well offness. Prices reflected that and at the same time the service and food were excellent. I wouldn't clamour to return but if someone said where sells good food and has plenty of room I'd say here

Nice place with a lovely atmosphere, shame about the food quality. Fish pie came out stone cold in the middle for my mum and the kids food I wouldn't have served to my golden retriever at home.

Nice location, good pub type food. Worth checking ahead to avoid busy times. Plenty of room if you have a large group. However, they did forget our desserts until reminded, but then didn't charge for them.

We only called in for a drink to meet up with friends for a 60th birthday. But the service we got was great but we had a reservation at the Foxfields so unfortunately we didn't stay for food .But that will soon be rectified as we all said that we will be back soon as the ambiance of the surroundings was appealing to us all .The staff were great very attentive and the service was good .So yes we will be back soon .

Been a while but we decided to book for Sunday lunch with the family. Food great, no real complaints. My chinese starter was a tad cold but was edible and very tasty. The 3 soup recepients were very complimentary, as were the children with the garlic bread. One of the group had sausage and mash for main - and it was just that, no veg, not even garden peas, which I found a tad strange. I myself had surf and turf, delicious but not impressed with the paper beneath the pile of food! Got very soggy very quickly resulting in a not very pleasant mouthful of paper with my food. Overall, very nice, will more than likely be back.

Just had Christmas dinner here, 4 people @ £89 per head. To say I’m disappointed would be a massive understatement Waited best part of an hour for the starter. Prawn cocktail, no great shakes, bit of salad in wine glass with a couple of king prawns on the rim. Very dry, hardly any sauce. Then the soup arrived in a coffee cup - cold. The biggest disappointment was the main course. The roast potatoes were hard and uncooked in the middle as was the carrots. My mashed potato had a crust on top as if it had been kept under one of those “keep food warm lamps” too long. And my wife’s duck breast was raw, we ended up sharing my turkey. The only reason I give 2 stars is because the pudding was very nice. Including drinks I spent well in excess of £400 for one meal and came away wishing I could have gotten a kebab. My dog ate better than me on Christmas Day.

Called in for lunch whilst at the Deli.
Hubby had Surf & Turf, I had the Tandoori Chicken Kebab. Hubbys looked impressive however when you dug deeper it was a pile of chips with shreads of beef and 4 king prawns, although he enjoyed it, it was not worth £16.95, mine came on a large pizza base, nice and thin, couldn't taste the garlic butter, someone needs to learn what Tandoori tastes like, it was awful, and thigh meat too, so Hubby ate all that chicken, he loves any part of the chicken but mentioned it was tasteless. I know that dark meat i.e. the thigh etc is best for marinating and cooking but I expected breast meat as a kebab (the kebabs in the Deli are breast meat), I will learn to ask in future, its wasn't cheap either £15.25. Neither meal was worth the price tag. I mentioned that I couldn't eat it and they just said sorry for any confusion. Ah well. We wont be going there again.
I would give 2.5 stars but you can't do a half star.
