We've been with VES for 13 years now, the education received for my eldest son was beyond expectations; he developed a very strong base with excellent critical thinking skills. Without the hard work of his teachers, he wouldn't have made this far. With my youngest, things were slightly different, though he had developed very good thinking and analytical skills, the range of projects and activities were less; however, that was related to the pandemic besides being online for quite a long time.
Both are in secondary now, they are always eager to learn. The secondary teachers are way supportive and experienced. I am pleased and delighted with the level of education that both my boys are receiving and will continue to receive.

They take care of the children on the bus . like their own children ... very clean ..my child was there until Grade 12 ..long time ago

My sister-in-law was in need for school for her daughter. We were advised to join this school from so many people...When we got in touch with them, they provided a mobile number of an arabic lady Ms. Nagam. She informed us that there are places for grade 4 and we need to do the test and pay 150 aed. She was very responsive and nice, we registered all the details, and did the online test. After we paid we didn't hear from her till now, and god knows we tried to follow up at least to know the answer if the school may accept us or no...its very disrespectful, taking money and not even replying on our phone calls and texts. Very rude indeed. When we did tests for Choueifat school, they loaded us with tests, gave chance to try redo the tests, they took half of week to answer, but they were nice enough to call back and answer if they accept or not...this was our experience...

the school isnt that bad but theres still room for improvement, pupil behaviour should be monitored more, met some cool people there though

My twin sons (one of whom is moderately autistic) attended the school as FS1 for 2 months.

WHAT I LIKED ABOUT THE SCHOOL:
The children attending VES come from good families. Most of the students are kind, well behaved and respectful. I will always have a soft spot for the school’s assistants: most of them are from Sri Lanka and are sweet and caring.

WHAT I DID NOT LIKE ABOUT THE SCHOOL:
Imagine having to browse through a list of student names posted on a wall to find out which class our sons belong to during the first day of school. Several staff would talk down to parents. There are posters all around school telling parents to keep out: “No parents beyond this point” at certain locations. During those 2 months when my sons were enrolled at the school, I have never personally met their teachers nor have I seen their classrooms. There were also no clear communication of what exactly the kids are doing in class except for the weekly information given to parents in a shoddily photocopied paper. It all felt like we are being excluded from our children’s learning. I was only called in to be told that they have done everything they could and have basically given up on my moderately autistic son. Even then, at that meeting, I have never personally spoken to his teacher, she was not included in the meeting. It was a very odd experience.

Disappointingly, I found out a few weeks after my sons left that the school underwent inspection. I thought that maybe that is the reason why they had to get rid of my autistic son.

Facilities: The playground and the astroturfed sports ground are small and limited.

I am in year 5, mr porters class.been here since year 4 mr henrys class. Made so many freinds including daniyal Abdullah. The staff are friendly and so are the pupils. I love this school and I recommend this as a go to school. I have learned so many things and will continue to learn.
