My kid spent 3 years in this school. KG, Prep and Grade-1. KG was great, however no islamic whatsoever nor effective Arabic education. In Prep again no islamic, as well as no effective Arabic education. In Prep 2nd term, Ms Rosie, a new joiner, worked so hard on my kid and improved her writing which really paid off dramatically from D to B. My kid loves writing ever since, she writes every night and it helps her to sleep, just like reading. Now this year Grade-1 was awful. My kid worked so hard and showed many potentials, but still kept in AVERAGE level all year long, with no extra mile from any of her teachers, nor a single school reward at the end of the year. She said to me after the last assembly "mama I showed VISS values but never got a reward, but a kid in my class got an award twice, that's not fair." I totally agree with her. After my experience as a parent, I think the attention is fully focused on top/high or low level students, where the average students are left behind and not getting the needed efforts to develop. Also with no islamic in previous years KG & Prep, nor effective Arabic curriculum, I got shocked of the level of these subjects in Grade-1. Both subjects are advanced and need a lot of effort from the school to make the education more effective, which is not happening. Also the number of kids has increased 18 kids minimum per class across 5 classes in Grade-1 only! This is alot of pressure on everyone specially teachers who need to educate rather than just finish the course without paying attention to the kids who need help. I feel sad to end our journey with VISS, as I really appreciate the ELC and Primary team: Ms Reshma, Mr Dan, Mr James, Ms Ojenie, Mr Ali, and also Mr Bashar in Transportation. Actually they are the reason behind the stars in my review. All the best.

My experience at Victoria International School of Sharjah left much to be desired. Regrettably, I found the overall quality of education and the conduct of the teachers to be mediocre at best.

One of the major issues I encountered was the lackluster teaching methods employed by the faculty. Rather than engaging and inspiring students, I often felt that the teachers were more interested in playing tricks and being overly tricky, which hindered the learning process. This approach failed to foster a positive and conducive learning environment.

Furthermore, the school's academic standards fell short of expectations. The curriculum seemed outdated and failed to keep up with current educational practices. The lack of innovation and adaptability hindered the development of critical skills required for future success.

In addition, the administrative support at Victoria International School of Sharjah was underwhelming. I encountered several instances of disorganization and poor communication, which further compounded the challenges faced by students.

While it is important to note that every educational institution has its strengths and weaknesses, I believe Victoria International School of Sharjah has significant room for improvement. A more student-centered approach and a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment would greatly enhance the overall experience for students.

In conclusion, I cannot recommend Victoria International School of Sharjah as a top choice for quality education. The mediocre teaching methods, lack of academic standards, and inadequate administrative support create a subpar learning environment. Students and parents seeking a more enriching and supportive educational experience may want to explore alternative options.

I have 3 kids at this school. Facilities are excellent and teacher, all Australian or New Zealand, are very good. They manage to respect Arab tradition with Western education. Facilities are excellent. Price are high. Entry exam is mandatory to evaluate children capabilities to understand English. I really have to tank so many teacher here for the great effort they put in my kids education.

Victoria International is an amazing school. I was a teacher there for 5 years. The quality of education students received was unmatched and continually got better every year. I am an American licensed teacher but will give more than due credit the quality of Aussie education. In fact, I learned and filled so many gaps or gained new perspectives in my own education while I was working at this school. Admissions during my time was selective but equitably inclusive. It was also a modern school in a developing emirate. If you want rote learning and test takers it’s probably not the right place for your child. I recall providing a truly international education that made future leaders. The school is built for the 21st century and the administration encourages teachers to have the mindsets to teach with modern methods.
