AVOID! RUDE, AGGRESSIVE OWNER. From the moment we arrived the male owner was extremely hostile. We pitched up and he demanded the money (Fair enough ) so off we went to the cash machine.

The next morning as we were leaving , we put our rubbish in one of the bins that other campers had been using . He approached us with aggression questioning us, telling us to move our rubbish and also got one of his friends to follow in his car ( intimidating). He then asked the campers beside us if they had any trouble from us!

He informed us of no information about the site on arrival, nothing at all. Not even a hi!

5 Dogs caged up, barking all night. Feel sorry for those.

The female who may own the site too, who greeted us on an arrival was extremely pleasant! Unfortunately for the male it let the whole experience down.

Fabulous little campsite: very basic, lovely location, fine by me. Disregard ranting reviews about toilets/showers: they're basic construction, but they work and they were very clean when I visited. Convenient stop if doing the Snowdonia Way (the mountain route variant). Great pub with excellent food, half a mile walk: the Tyn-y-Coed.

Everything a camp site should be in my opinion: rustic, basic facilities, quiet, easy access to a pub, characterful, trusting, easy access to the hills, scenic, the list goes on…

The thing I most like is that an element of trust is given to the camper to pay for their pitch through an honesty box. Yes the facilities are basic but 50p gives you enough time to quickly wash your hair and body in the shower.

Finally if every review were as positive as this the camp site would be ridiculously busy and it’s charm would disappear. Enjoy it. It’s great!

He put his price up from what was advertised then wouldn’t let me leave until I had paid more whilst he got aggressive and insulted us.

We had traveled a long way looking forward to having cheep simple place to stay based on what was advertised and were planning on staying more nights but these plans were rudely disrupted.

I tried to contribute to the local economy what I could afford and got ripped off. Good one.

This guy may put me off visiting campsites at all if you have to deal with people like him.

False advertisement is illegal and just wrong.

Beautiful place located at the heart of Snowdonia. You can walk from the campsite up Moel Siabod. Located in the middle between a Cafe and a Pub. The owner is very lovely and welcoming and his wife is also accommodating.

When we arrived there were signs on the door where the owner had DOUBLED the price of stay! When questioned about website prices not matching, the only text I got back was '£8 per night, per person'. That was it.
The campsite was quite, and views were beautiful which was a shame because the facilities were disgusting, obviously not maintained, you could probably catch something from the showers (which you need to pay for...) trading standards would be interested in their prices and I'm sure environmental health would be interested in the state of the toilets/showers!

The perfect stay. Really enjoyed our time at Bryn Tyrch Campsite, will definitely be staying again in the near future. Owner is also very friendly and helpful!

Ideal location less than 10 minutes from Snowdon and walking distance to Siabod (Next to Moel Siabod Cafe too!)
Convenient little campsite with nice washing facilities!
