I previously had an operation on my throat to remove an adenoma and part of my throid gland which then resulted that I couldn't speak for quite a time after. Unfortunately the operation deteriorated my gullet leaving the valve of the gullet wide open and unable to close properly. Sometimes my throat was really raw and hoarse and I was coughing. Angela was recommended to me and after working with her for only a couple of months, I also around this time returned back for a checkup with my surgeon who really didn't want to do an operation and upon examination said that he was amazed, absolutely gob smacked and now this time the valve had healed and repaired over a quarter of an inch already since starting with Angela! He didn't expect it to start repaired so quickly and thought it would take a couple of years. He said to see the improvement is amazing and just couldn't believe it had gone from that to this and how it had come together! I'm so happy it's working, it's made a big difference to how I speak and sing. I've now been discharged and I'm going around saying Angela did it!

When I first came to Angela I had several problems with my upper register, including cracks, and was deliberately singing lower than my comfortable range to avoid high notes (which without realising it was actually risking more potential damage). Angela worked with me in a range of techniques (both established and unique to her). She was kind, patient and professional and the progress I made within a year was nothing short of amazing.
My voice has been considerable strengthened and healed and I now feel comfortable hitting notes I last sang 20 years ago!
I would thoroughly recommend her for anyone with vocal disorders or issues.

I went to see Angela as a last resort. A few years ago I had a cyst removed from my vocal cords, which caused and left me with voice dysfunction. I couldn’t sing, literally nothing would come out of my mouth and by the end of each day even speaking was a struggle and uncomfortable. I had previously undergone speech and language therapy with the hospital team with little improvement. I noticed that over a period of a couple of years after the surgery my voice clarity and range was declining. This was both upsetting and concerning. Before finding Angela I thought this was my life and that speaking would continue to be a struggle.
Angela is patient, understanding, encouraging and most importantly effective. By the end of the second session with specific techniques I was singing, albeit a bit croaky. My speech has improved and feels so much more comfortable. Week on week my voice is getting clearer, stronger with a wider range and I can now sing. I have made sounds that I have not managed for a number of years. It is quite extraordinary. It sounds like a cliche, but Angela has literally changed my life. By teaching me how to speak effortlessly and then sing, Angela has put enjoyment back into my life. My voice has returned which I thought would not be possible after my problems. Thank you Angela.

Angela has been an absolute dream! I have seen multiple speech therapists and singing teachers but none of which have been able to provide the vocal rehab needed to help me recover from my nodules. Angela is exactly what I have been looking for and after just a couple of lessons has provided me with a unique insight of the voice and wonderful exercises which have helped with not only my vocal health but also enabled me to enjoy singing again. Further to this, her encouraging and motivating words have given me hope that I will find my natural soprano voice again, which Is something I didn't think was possible. She is a wonderful, genuine person, fully qualified and skilled in all areas regarding the voice. If you are someone with any type of vocal damage and need help with recovery, or simply looking to improve your vocal skills with some new interesting techniques, this is the voice specialist for you. Thanks again Angela, I am looking forward to my lesson next week!

Myself and my daughter are new to singing and have chosen Angela as our first coach. Having had a handful of lessons now, we have been introduced to vocal techniques including the teaching of the Italian Appoggio (leaning of the voice) as opposed to straining and shouting and how it is acutely supported with science and imagery along with how we produce resonance (power) by the ring of the voice.

Angela demonstrates this in her own voice which seems effortless to her and is so high!!! Angela is very encouraging and a joy to be in company with. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anybody who is looking to learn how to sing the correct way whilst understanding the science behind it!

After a lifetime of singing with choral groups and choirs, I suddenly lost my singing voice due to a medical problem. Although on reflection I think that my voice had probably been waning for some time before that. How I missed the enjoyment of singing with others and wondered if there might be some help for me. In searching the internet I came across Angela Kelly, singing specialist and arranged an appointment. Although an ENT consultant had referred me for speech therapy, I knew that I needed more help with my singing. I thought I was a pretty hopeless case, but Angela’s encouragement and professionalism has resulted in my voice being unlocked and I have gained a new confidence; what I thought I had lost forever has been found! What a difference it’s made, I thought my singing voice was lost forever, As a top soprano I have once again managed to reach high C. I feel optimistic for the future and the future looks bright!

I have had 4 lessons with Angela so far. Whilst I had many years of singing in my teens and twenties, I am revisting my voice in my late 50's..! The improvement in my vibrato is tremendous- even at this early stage. My breath control is more stable and placing the voice and I find it much easier to rise through the scales. All of this is down to Angela.... highly recommended.
