We went into Escape Games in order to play our board games, they allow you to sit on tables and play board games for free, which is incredibly generous. The staff could be kinder when you enter though.

I have frequented many a local gaming store, and usually the owners are the nicest people in the world. These people working in the store honestly didn't seem to care if they got my business at all, acting rude or disinterested.
I try to support local businesses when possible, but the prices were incredibly inflated, making it very difficult.
The timing for their events on their social is often wrong or inaccurate. When questioned, they will just shrug you off like you are the one who read it incorrectly.

Great experience! Got to chat with the owners, people around are nice. Drawn some pokemon, this helps me to cure from a day of uni.

Purchased a Combat Patrol from these guys, and the item was missing an integral part of the model. After raising it with them they arranged to get the replacement sorted out by this weekend... After contacting them to query it it turns out I'm having to wait another week... perhaps they should give accurate timescales as to how long something will take to replace (anywhere else it's within a couple of days) these guys 2 weeks apparently....

Over priced board games (way cheaper online) avoid like the plague!

Unwelcoming feeling as a new customer entering.
Staff was rude unfortunately while serving me. I was looking to spend a decent amount but reconsidered due to this.

Couldn’t access a portion of the shop as there was a meeting/session happening on a table as well.
Felt like a club more than a retail store, but hopefully this was bad luck/once off

Great place to play. I regularly play Magic: The Gathering and D&D 5e here, a great place with a warm welcome. Recommended for people looking for a place to play or just to pop in for a browse.

Great games shop, very friendly and helpful, nice little social /activities area upstairs to play games in. It gets better with every visit
