Excellent marketplace to purchase dates at a fair price. Dates come in a vast range that you can taste. Also, they are providing Arabic tea. You may find dates from Oman, Saudi Arabia, and other countries, and you can purchase them for between 30 and 60 AED (normal and premium). There are several kinds of chocolates, spices, and herbs available. I only went to one store, but you may visit several. They will also offer discounts. Overall, I enjoy the items and services.

It's a good market to buy wholesale rate dates however you need to bargain well. Few shops there have limited collection of dates.. I had been to Green lawn dates shop. They give variety of dates to taste. Loved the experience. The market is situated right behind Zayed port. I would definetly suggest to buy dates from this market as dates are quite expensive in city and malls.

After a full day of exploring Abu Dhabi, my wife and I stopped at Al Raiqa which is a store in the Abu Dhabi Dates Market. When we entered we saw all manner of date products. The staff in Al Raiqa are very wise—they handed out free samples of chocolate covered dates—dark chocolate, milk chocolate and milk chocolate. They were decadent and addictive. I knew I would be buying a couple bags of chocolate covered date as did all of the customers who sampled them! I also purchased a bottle of date syrup. Once I returned home, I realized this syrup is great on pancakes, waffles and French toast.

Bargaining is a necessity in this market, but the prices are pretty reasonable. The staff were cordial and very helpful in locating the date products I was looking for. Just know that once you sample one of the products you will not be able to resist purchasing the delicious products.

You can try out some dates and even Arabic tea. But overall not that exciting for me. Definitely not a must see experience. But if you like shopping and love dates this is the place for you.

The Date Market also attracts many tourists. An open-air market sells many other Arabian fruits like melons and potatoes in addition to dates.

Various dates. Prices range from 50 and the best date is around 120 DH.
If you buy in a large quatity (for example in groups), you can negotiate with them for a better price.

We do have dates in the Vietnam market but its quality is not as delicious as this one. ????
