Disappointed and devastated..... Lost out on a trip last year as locomotive wasn't ready. And this year there was no record of our rearranged booking .......team have been very helpful in trying to sort , but sadly have lost two sets of holiday plans... ...... Really hope other people will have an opportunity to travel sounds like such a great locomotive and experience if you do...

We were shown around as part if a U3A visit. The talk was very informative. Staff very knowledgeable. Many of which are volunteers. Currently building new locomotive. They rely on donations. Superb place.

They built the class A1 steam locomotive 'Tornado' which is being used for runs all around the UK.
Presently working on their 2nd loco; a LNER class P2 express engine to be named 'Prince Of Wales'.
If you can get on an open day, you can see the work they are doing.

They've built a brand new steam train and are building another! Fascinating engineering and science and steam trains what's more do you need fantastic. My 5 year old loved visiting, can get really close up to trains when there.

They are a world class credit to the Railway Preservation Movement, and are an example to us all of just what a great thing it is to let another generation know what a steam locomotive is. I greatly wish that there were more groups like this in the United States.

Absolutely marvellous, to have a chance to see a new stream loco under construction is a rare opportunity these days. Extremely enjoyable, more (steam) power to them!
