Al Bahia is a great beach to get together with friends - it's not posh and hasn't got any facilities, but it's an open beach and really convenient/accessible.
The beach is ruined a bit by people on jet skis buzzing the beach fast and close and anti social behaviour from other beach goers.
All that said, arrive early in a group and circle the wagons and it's not a bad spot.

My family lives near this untouched beauty spot. That is what we love about it. It is not commercialised but remains a natural looking waterfront spot that is great for family picnics and bbqs, great for walks or just a chill spot to do some reflection. It comes alive more when the local kids play while parents enjoy a coffee or snack and boys come out to play with their cars, boats and jetskis. We love it just the way it is. That is what we call our local.

Nice small beach + Zoo.
All parkings are free.
All facilites available, hospital, restaurants
Malls ..
I think its the best place in Abu Dhabi to live.
