Lara was quite a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide on all the stops along our tour route. She gave great background information about the scenery, history, archeology, geology, and wildlife we saw during our time with her. I highly recommend this tour to any visitor to Shetland who wants to learn more about life on these islands from a historical perspective up to the present. Lara really maximizes the time spent with her. The tour is a very good value.

If we could give more than 5 stars we would for Mark and his some, who tagged along for our tour. We had done our research about Orkney Island and once Mark realized we had interest in the local wildlife and military history, he took us on some unscheduled stops additionally. Mark has a deep appreciation and reverence for those who first settled on this beautiful island

My tour to my 6th Great Grandfather's grave was very moving for me and much appreciated. Guide John had done some research beforehand and took me to the places I wanted/needed to see. The Abbey at Dunfermline where my 6GG preached was amazing. John also added Culross to the tour and it was even prettier than Dunfermline. I will be forever grateful.

Alan was a great guide…very knowledgeable, personable & witty! We got to see so much of Edinburgh with a perfect mix of sightseeing from the car, streets and on our own. He took the time to learn our interests and made the tour extra special for my daughter! Also, the yummy snacks & drinks provided were very much appreciated. Highly recommend Alan or his company (Ecosse Executive) for any touring or transportation needs in Edinburgh!

Book this tour now! Neil is superb. He truly made our day and experience easy and the best memory of our entire three-week trip. Neil met us on the pier, holding a sign with our surname on it making it easy to find him. His van is top-notch, and he has a headset he wears to ensure everyone in the van can hear his narration and explanation of the area. We asked him any number of questions, horticulture, agriculture, local and national statistics, history - he knew it all. BOOK NOW! He won't disappoint!!

My mother and I were lucky enough to book David for a two day tour of the highlands. David went above and beyond to accommodate our interests and requests and made it clear that everything was on our terms. Not only did we see what we had hoped to see, he suggested that rather than plan two separate days, we add a night and combine them. It made a world of difference. David led us off the beaten path to wonderful places we would never have found on our own, and impressed us with knowledge. Just great.

We had a delightful and fun filled day with James on our recent trip to Scotland. He became more of a historical driver instead of an actual tour guide, as our specific mission was a hunt for ancestry clues in the area of Ayrshire... not your normal region for Scottish adventure. He took us wherever we wanted to go (legally), and readily joined in the fun in the small towns, hidden farmsteads, and old kirkyards which were on our list. James made this one of the highlights of our 2 week trip to Scotland!

Jonny McCormack is a true Englishman, punctual, polite, and attends to your every need. Our tour of the Isle of Skye was delightful with John as our guide. Even through he is not a native, John has lived in Scotland for many years and has thorough knowledge of Scotland's history and the surrounding countryside. Since my husband and I are elderly, we really didn't want to do any hiking. John tailored our 7 hours together allowing us to see as many attractions as possible. Thank You John! Carol & Walt
