First time I’ve ever shipped from there and the gentleman at DFDS couldn’t have been more helpful he was absolutely brilliant, telling me where to park,how long I’d have to wait, basically put my mind at rest. Didn’t get his name and wish I had, but big thanks to the DFDS booking in security man…

Delivered tractor unit for export to Africa. On entrance to port the official in cabin had no idea of direction I should be going, even when given the address. Naturally ended up at the wrong location. However at this location I was directed towards the general area I needed to be in. The signs are small, cramped and difficult to read. So my advice is, if your vehicle is being exported especially to Africa head for the Riverside Terminal. Up and over a steep bridge feels like your going the wrong way, but your not. As you approach you are told which lane to be in. Keep in your given lane and at the entrance kiosk tell them what you are there for. Be polite and courteous and they will give you instructions. Easy once you've done it once. We live and learn, sometimes!

Damn horrendes place. Rushing like crazy mad. Rude and aggressive. The bridge in the entrance is so dangerous for lorries with that heavy weight.
The computer in entrance never ever work and so dirty you do not even look at it. It is clearly appear no one care otherwise that simple system for this such huge company should be very easy to fix and operate after years of operation badly. In other hand, the system, the way of operation is OLD. I don't get it, if the system is there why should someone sit in front of computer and manage the system. However, they do other things for drivers on system. Never happened I use those monitor without waiting and in all occasions the Employee in front of computer helped to operate the system because they were hanging and not responding.
You coming out of there like a MAD DOG. Dock side is better because drivers do not need to use such stupid old dirty system.

Can be very busy at peak times but if you need help just ask on the barrier or one of the tug drivers

The staff are friendly and polite when you need them it gets very bisey here at times
