In 10 years of living in the Middle East, our rental experience with Imran Ellam was head and shoulders above the rest. Imran was a recommendation from a friend and he did not disappoint. Excellent communication, consistently going the extra mile to assist, very quick to respond (even when on vacation) and even the after care post commission has been great. Difficult to find any faults and would highly recommend using him for real estate services.

Imran was an amazing person to deal with. He made all processes extremely easy. Great communication and always responded very quickly. I have lived in the UAE for several years and dealt with plenty of real estate agents, which has always been very painful. Imran was exactly the opposite. Everything went so smooth and he was extremely helpful and professional.

I dealt with Ali from better homes. The experience was awful as the guy kept calling and messaging(all in 1 day) me and rush me to transfer the deposit. After, I got off my work, I saw his texts which were borderline rude.
This was an unpleasant experience and hence I didn't go ahead with the deal to which he replied rudely as well.
Think twice before dealing with them.

My experience with Betterhomes as a tenant had been a mixed bag. As I moved in last year into the apartment I rented, I noticed some obvious flaws here and there. Something that, unfortunately, I decided to overlook.

My thinking at that point was that the owner and Betterhomes are familiar with these small flaws. Some silicon lining issues, small painting issues and small things that are broken here and there. It even had both a rodent problem and an ant problem. They even didn’t do a deep cleaning to the apartment and I decided it will be fine. Bad idea.

Not only did I spend MONTHS trying to beg them to fix these issues, but I was continually ignored and was told that the owner will send his own maintenance company to fix the issues. Obviously when they came, they told me that it’s not fixable. And when I told betterhomes about it, they largely shrugged and said that “the owner decided he will only use his company to repair them”. Eventually I had to spend from my own pocket to fix these issues even though I was told “maintenance is included”.

I was never given a move-in report detailing the issues so naturally, when I moved out of the apartment, I was charged more than half of my deposit (+2000 AED) for these minor issues and paint. To which, they never standardized the type of paint or color, so when I brought a company to paint the apartment and spent over 1000 AED and days of back and forth just to make sure the paint matches what the owner expected, I was still charged for it!!!

So if you’re planning to rent from them, just make sure to cover your basis. Get a move-in report that details every tiny thing! And make sure to ask about the owner and which company is contracted to deal with maintenance. Good luck.
