The path starts at the Bulb Park. Head north following the former railway line past the area railway history. First you pass the Newtyle Junction (where the Newtyle Deviation Loop splits from the older goods line and old station). Second you will come to the Nethermill Woods (and Nethermill Railway Junction) where the path curves into Newbigging Woods until you reach B954. Cross the road (note the former two removed bridges). Follow the Railway line towards Aldler until you reach a staircase down to the road at Camno Crossing to the end of the marked path. Extend the walk by either heading back to Newtyle via the Water Backie and Railway Loop Path or continue on the old railway to Aldler.
