The current parking system is absolutely ludicrous. No barrier to indicate if the car park is full or not so we ended up with 5 cars going round and round trying to find a space! When a space eventually became available we spent 15 minutes attempting to register our car and purchase a ticket as the machine, under the app Pay by Phone, was not working efficiently.
Seriously John Lewis you can do so much better and with this system in place you must be losing a lot of customers coming to the store. What was once a pleasurable trip has become an ordeal!

Sadly I cannot give them no stars. Be very careful of how you enter your number plate. I believe I entered the full number plate and displayed the ticket correctly. However, I then got a parking fine. Only the first four characters of my number plate appeared on the printed ticket (I did not notice this at the time). I appealed and they reduced the fine to £20 to cover costs stating that I had made a "keying error". Any further appeal means you lose the right to the reduced rate so they effectively have you over a barrel. I will never use this car park again.

Absolutely furious with this car park now it has changed hands. I cannot work out what to do and neither can all the people in the queues standing at the ticket machines looking puzzled. I don't want to have an account with a car parking company. John Lewis have lost a lot of brownie points over this fiasco (not to mention customers).

The quality service of this car park has dropped dramatically since the very friendly and helpful attendant was replaced by Britannia parking's automated system.

It's now Pay-on-entry and requires the user to define the duration on arrival, rather than pay on exit with the time calculated on departure.

I also found that the Paybyphone App refuses to accept my Mastercards.

It now fails to determine when the car park is full, thus causing cars to circle round the car park with the drivers looking for an empty space.

For anyone familiar with this previously excellent car park this is a massive drop in quality of service.
