We quickly booked the holiday inn express after our flight was cancelled, and we’re so glad we did. The staff were incredibly helpful, and helped us find the shuttle bus at the airport. When we finally arrived, we instantly felt at ease, with all the staff being very friendly, and welcoming. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. The breakfast was brilliantly organised, with the ability to take a bag of food and coffee with you if you needed it. The only slight snag was there could be a little more variety with the cooked breakfast, but other than that our stay was 10/10. Highly recommend.

Great room for overnight stay for 3 of us before our flight from Edinburgh.
Staff were lovely and very helpful made us feel welcome. Room was lovely, comfortable and very spacious.
Breakfast was continental as we left early but very enjoyable.
Would use again and also recommend.

Positive: It's not far from the airport and has good transport back and forth. Their breakfast buffet is excellent. The shower was great. Negative: It was warm and stuffy in the room. There's no air conditioner so we had to open the window. Their dinner doesn't go late, but at least they could provide some heated pizza.

Really nice staff and clean rooms ????

But you could really hear the planes and your neighbours, both from their rooms and the corridor.

The breakfast was not so impressive. We had told the hotel in advance that we needed lactose and gluten-free options and there was bread and margarine presented.
The restaurant has none gluten free and lactose free food...... So we had to go elsewhere.
The sheets were too short for the bed and two duvet covers had holes in them.
But nice rooms otherwise with good climate (heating/AC).

The transfer is free from the airport to the hotel. But from the hotel to the airport it costs £4.

Although I felt the staff were lovely and attentive I think for the price we paid for our stay I was very disappointed. My booking clearly stated 3 adults. When we arrived in the room there was no bedding for the pull out bed and no extra towel. We went down and said which was fine someone arrived straight away. We said we would set the bed ourselves as we were in a rush to go out. Upon setting the bed the duvet cover had multiple rips in it. The lamps and kettle didn’t work. Annoying getting ready with little light, this was later fixed when we were out but could have done with it for 3 of us getting ready. When we got back to the hotel there was a man smoking drugs outside the property with a potent smell. These are things normally I would turn a blind eye to but for the price we paid it’s just not on

Received a warm welcome from Adarsh who attended to us on arrival. We had a ground floor room, very quiet, equipped with usual tea, coffee, shower gel, iron etc. Room was clean, bed very comfortable. Had a meal in restaurant but was disappointed with the new menu, as choice was really quite limited, burgers, curry, pizza but no fish dishes and if I remember correctly little or no choice of salads. Which is a shame but we opted for the burger which was very nice and there was a nice house wine to go with it.

I've stayed in better airport hotels! The service in the dinning room was not good! I went to order some dinner and everything I asked for was "out of stock" ???? eventually there was nothing left on the menu! It could do with a good clean downstairs at front reception, bar and dining area. They could also clean the dining tables with a clean cloth ???? As for the area outside the front entrance, two dustbins full of stale cigarettes and it stank!! Holiday Inn in my memory was a plush hotel, well not now! I think this Holiday Inn could do with a huge overhaul ????

We had a very comfortable stay at the Holiday Express Inn at Edinburgh Airport. The staff was so friendly and helped us so much with solving some issues in our vacation plans. The room was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay very much. We definitely will recommend this hotel to friends and family!
