This place knows everything about vegetarian food. Lovely Naan bread with garlic, a smoking sizzler, best brinjal stew ever and they make spinach taste like seriously improved avocado. I have ordered from them before, we went in person today and every single time I am impressed. The food is spicy, but does not burn your lips off. And it tastes AMAZING.

First time I tried ordering the food from this restaurant and the food quality and taste is good for the money you pay. The person who took our order was very polite and explained the required quantity for 3 people, so we don't waste food. The food is custom made and we wanted it to be spicy and did not realize that they add too many chillies to make it spice. The consistency of the gravy is really good and the taste as well.

My advice - If you want spicy pleace be sure and instruct restaurant that not to add chillies but alternative a chilli powder. I loved the food and hope to order it again

One of the best restaurant for Vegetarian food in Abi Dhabi. Service was good, clean place and the taste of food was just outstanding. Tried Palak Paneer, Tawa roti and Shikanji.

Oodles of butter, an ample amount of dairy, extensive use of wheat flour, and best sweet delicacies of India are some culinary features of Indian State where 5 rivers flow - Punjab. Let it be infamous butter chicken, naan, chaat, chole-bhature, or mithai, Punjab has an abundance of culinary varieties.

Golden Spoon Restaurant holds its roots from Punjab and stationed in Abu Dhabi for 25 years, serves around 184 pure Punjabi Vegetarian dishes. They meet the fundamentals of Punjabi Cuisine. We got an opportunity to taste the food (pre-set menu by the restaurant management) and here is our review:

1. Punjabi Samosa: Thin cover and soft stuffing are two qualities of authentic Punjabi Samosa. Thin cover, when deep-fried, become crispy and gives the perfect texture to samosa which is balanced by gratifying potato stuffing. This restaurant knows this authenticity of samosa and serves it as it is. Chutneys compliments the Samosas.

2. Veg Nargasi Kofta curry: Perfectly cooked koftas are curried with creamy tomato & onion gravy. The garam masala was slightly on the higher side but the overall taste was Good.

3. Chapatis: Restaurant claims that they serve the pure wheat chapatis, we don't doubt their claim, but a bit of attention to kneading the dough with appropriate water ratio could have made chapatis softer.

4. Fresh Salad: Good one.

5. Gulab Jamun: The proper porosity of Jamuns allows Chashni (sugar syrup) to enter to the core and makes Gulab Jamun delicious.

They recently renovated their interiors and interiors are decent. This restaurant serves simple and decent Punjabi cuisine and worth visiting when someone wants 'Ghar Ka Khana (Homemade food).'

Mood Killer

Came for Dinner after so many google reviews, turn out to be the worst mistake of my life. No one had time to greet and apparently there was one receptionist and one waiter to attend. Ordered Friday spcl Thali
Which is undoubtedly limited for a Aed 22 per person. Waiter had no knowledge for what's served in the Thali. No water and he didn't even bother to offer any. My son was soo thirsty that I got one from Baqala.
Thali with only 3 curry 1 raita, 4 roti cucumber as salad 1 sweet. No startup drink no papad.
Dal Makhani was too diluted and for Kofta curry it was actually gobi
Each order and request took 5 to 10 min of waiting which actually killed my mood for eating. Just paid and left. The waiter even wants to charge for water and I asked even if he offered one to charge me.
In the end no goodnight no visit again or a review on how the food was ????????. Never again and will strongly recommend other for same.

Amazing food. The restaurant's chef is very kind and helpful. A definite must do when you are looking for great indian food in Abu Dhabi.

Have been ordering from here for long,went for lunch to the restaurant last week for the first time.Cozy place,we had the Friday spl thali,food was amazing and with very little or no oil,tasted like home cooked,service was fast.the owner Sahil personally supervises everything.Good job guys.Recommended.
