Usually order at least 2x a week from the brilliant and friendly staff here. Never had an issue with any of them. All very welcoming, kind and will do that extra mile. Never had a bad meal. Service is spot on ! Well done guys

I live in Bradford and visit family that lives in Oban regularly. I’ve always found it a challenge to find somewhere that provides a decent curry when I’m out of Bradford as I’m usually spoilt for choice as Bradford has been known to be the curry capital of the UK.

I asked for advice from a local who is also originally from Yorkshire, to which I was directed to Chilli Grillz. I was told to ask for a certain chef and explain that I wanted a proper curry that would compare to what I’m used to.

I ordered a chicken Rhogan Josh and chicken Madras - Asian style. They were both undoubtedly on par if not better than the curry’s I normally get, a pleasant surprise as two different Oban takeaway’s had provided a very poor excuse of a curry in the previous weeks.

Even though I got Asian style, it wasn’t excruciatingly spicy to the point you can’t taste any of the flavours but it was still spicy enough to satisfy the taste buds and so very tasty! The chicken pakora was definitely the best I’ve ever had (I don’t normally like them) and it came with a delicious red sauce which I need to know the name of! Completing the speed were traditional chapatti’s and poppadoms - The chutney was gorgeous. My only gripe would be, I would’ve preferred a few more pieces of chicken but it just means I’ll be able to have the left over sauce with chips tomorrow!

Very good overall, if you’re wanting a proper curry experience in Oban - this is definitely the place to get it and it’s proven the staff will gladly meet your needs and more.

I had a large chicken pakora and a drink. The pakora was very dry and horrible and made me sick later in the night. I do not know how long it was sitting there. Nearly 10 pounds for the privilege!

Regularly travel up from Lochgilphead to get food from here. Never had a bad experience after several visits ordering various dishes for myself, wife and child. Food always good, staff always friendly. Pizza, kebabs, tandoori box always top notch.

Few times visited now , every time the service has been top notch , and more importantly, the food I ordered has been first class , definitely the best kebab house in Oban!!

10/10 for the food
2/10 for the poor customer service
Fast food isn't a cheap option, but you could improve your customer service greatly be being honest about the wait time for a delivery. I'm not a serial reviewer, as if somewhere is pants I just don't use again, but this has happened more than once. You know, if you had the wit to over estimate the wait time and deliver "early" that would probably help your reviews......

I HEARD ABOUT INDIANS BEING DISCRIMINATED & MESSED ABOUT IN PAKISTANI ESTABLISHMENTS DUE TO THEIR DEEP HATRED FOR INDIANS BUT I DIDN'T KNOW I WAS GONNA BE THE VICTIM THAT TOO FROM THE OWNER!!!
