However there are restpoints and lookout areas every 100-150m, as well as information regarding the early inhabitants and their occupation, flora and fauna of the region etc. These are situated alongside the pathway and quite informative.
The pathway is lit by soft lights but the route is more enjoyable in daylight. No entry fees by the way.

The trail runs east - west with the east end starting from Hudayriyat beach side and ending on the west end towards Bab Al Nojoum side. You can enter from either side as there is ample parking area at both the ends. There are three nodes or stations with information boards under shelters ie. The Pearl Oyster node, The Dugong node and The Shark node giving insight to the early inhabitants, their occupation and impact on marine life in the Arabian Gulf.
The information on the shell middens, Dugongs, Sharks and Shells found in the UAE waters is very interesting.
The walk way is well lit with lamp posts and there are rest nodes at every 100mts along the trail.
There is a reef heron sculpture, a dugong sculpture and a fisherman sculpture.
A walk along the trail with smooth breeze and the sound of waves rippling in the background in the early morning is so soothing to the mind and soul.
The trail is open to public from 6am in the morning until 10pm in the night. I would suggest to visit early morning before the sun rises.
The place has it's own beauty in the morning hours as well as in the lights at night.
A place to find serenity amidst the stressful surroundings.
