Public car park for the town, 3hrs free, no need to shop at Aldi/Home Bargains. Only 5mins walk from the scenic Riverside park, maybe 10/15mins from the town centre.
No leeway for running a little over the 3hrs though, you WILL get fined. There's also no return within a certain period (think it's a few hours) or you'll get a fine as well.

Three hours free parking for Llangollen is available here. Planning stipulates that you don’t need to shop here. It’s 5 minutes walk along the river to the pubs shops and cafes of Llangollen.
Don’t be late back or Parkung Eye will send you a hefty bill.
