Pure luck to be around to find this spot. I happened to walk in and had the best breakfast after a long time. Ghee Roast was too good that I checked out Onion Roast too.

Run by dear brothers from Tamil Nadu, I think. Small shop, small prices, but remarkable food. Tasted so much like the essence of Tamil Nadu, which always bring me back my childhood memories. Something I only get from Saravana Bhavan, in big malls at heavy prices. But, this spot served me that two varieties of Dosas with a fresh milk tea @13.50. Now, I am full like never in near past. I will definitely come back.

Wishing they get more recognition and success. ❤️

This is a lovely little coffee shop/ restaurant. First and foremost their customer service is on another level. They are very polite, very friendly & courteous, hats off to them.
Their snacks are a treat, especially Vada (Methu vada/uzhunnu vada). They does a good job in not making too many snacks at the same time instead they make in small batches which means we get food fresh & crispy. Chutney, sambar and all are very good. I've been told they have good Tea/Coffee also by my friends. Also Madurai Bun porotta is available in this place (evenings). Hidden gem this one

I went for a walk there today, to see the bluebells. I was not disappointed.
This is very nice woodland for a quiet walk.
I normally start at the Car Park, which is chargeable, if you park in it. The signs had been vandalised when I went there today. I don't think people are very happy about being charged to walk in the woods.
The signage in the woods is not good. I often get lost but manage to find my way back to the start, just by heading along paths in the right direction.
A compass would be an asset or of course a mobile phone, so that you can see where you are.
In bluebell season there are quite a lot of bluebells there. Well worth a visit.

THE hotspot for heath fritillaries in the South East corner of the UK. Perfectly managed for this species in regards to landscaping and flora introduction. We visited 15th June in hot, sunny conditions and saw a multitude of these butterflies. Small carpark, but spaces on the adjacent lane. A beautiful and tranquil oasis.

We had great fun walking of the tracks and getting lost. (They recommend you stay on track) but there's nothing like sitting among the fallen trees, as you brew coffee from a mokka on a little stove.

We took the kids and cameras here but to be honest there is a half arsed car park which they charge £2 a day. Car park full of pot holes and half spaces taken up with rotting piled cut down trees. No signage anywhere. Just a muddy, sodden track. Wood ants everywhere and I mean everywhere... Worse than Clous woods. Didn't see any birds or wildlife. Boring foliage. Not worth a visit

Extremely muddy paths
Couldnt get round forest as mud everywhere
Forestry Commision needs to lay paths to cope with all weathers
