Nice fine dinning experience with good menu for kids and the whole family. Recommend to have a proper reservations. The overall good taste is good.

Very good Indian restaurant located inside the Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental Hotel. The food is great and the staff are very courteous. We loved the Chicken Naan Choora, Mirchi Paneer and Bay Prawns, the chef’s special. Ended the meal with orange basundhi for dessert

We were two times for Dinner at Martabaan this week.
Both times, we were welcomed with Indian hospitality, the always perfect service.

Besides the wonderful service, the food was excellent. The Amuse Bouche was a lovely starter to a tasteful Evening.
In terms of taste, it was a delightful journey to the spices of India that convinced.

Exemplary establishment inside a palace. Worth a single AED. Highlight of a trip. Be sure to check the martabaan dish, it’s simply gorgeous

The restaurant is located in the Emerates Palace Hotel. The ambience is very pleasant and the service is absolutely perfect. The food is exceptional and probably the best Indian food I ever had.

Unfortunately there is no option of “0” stars here on Google maps! Totally disappointed! Terrible food and really need to work a lot more on their service and hospitality, utter waste of money!

We stayed at Emirates Palace and decided to have our dinner at this place( later regretted the decision a zillion times, especially with other choice of amazing restaurants in the hotel)

Ambience: The reception area of the restaurant is so beautiful and well lit and we literally fell for it! Once we went in, it felt so gloomy and disappointing! The curtains were drawn and it was so dark and really stuffy & cramped!

Food: our expectations were so high, after a nice pool and beach day we were hungry too. But as the food arrived we almost lost our appetite.
Presentation was so horrible and none of the dishes had the “wow effect”.
-We tried hammour and chicken tikka, both were so dry and had absolutely no flavors in them.
-Biryani was just some masala rice with chunks of chicken in them.
- butter chicken generally never goes wrong, and wow they could ruin this dish too. Nan was hard and dry too.
-Mutton curry was too watery and hello what’s wrong with the Indian flavour game here!
-desserts were a joke! Orange ???? basundi was a small cup of some milk with sugar and probably orange zest. And Gulab Jamun was just ok.
Small little Indian restaurants in malls around Abu Dhabi can do far better than this, foodwise, Taste wise and definitely service wise.
Not a single worth eating and thank you so much for ruining our evening !

Service: there are places where we ate, were the food was average, but people/staff and their hospitality makes it up! Unfortunately not here! Grumpy faces, clanging plates and the way they cleared up the plates with lots of noise and mess! Oh, and looks like the clash and clangs are not only in the restaurant area, we could hear the Noises from kitchen too!

I guess after a long long time, here in Abu Dhabi, we experienced something this terrible! Definitely never-again and a BIG NO NO !

Wow!! I've been lucky enough to eat in a few fine dining establishments and I have to say Martabaan has been my favourite! From the moment you enter you feel welcomed by the excellently presented staff, the decor and ambiance is very classy but not overly.
We sat on the balcony with views of the water and beach below, stunning!
The food. We went for the Royal set menu which is 499AED per person and in my opinion was worth every penny - everything tastes amazing, this is not your average curry house. Expect the food to have elegance and subtle, yet distinct flavours.
Truly a wonderful experience!!!

Martabaan is a Marta-wow! From the pleasant, welcoming entrance to the extremely helpful service and incredible food, I cannot rave enough about this place. Highly enjoyed our meal and would highly recommend dining there ????????
