This had always been my target of interest for our stay in Conwy, which was a part of a minibus tour for the day.
Thankfully our drop-off point was close (by the tourist information centre) and I had plenty time to see the bridge. It didn't matter that, apart from the bridge, I only had time to see the path between it and the drop-off point.
It worked out very well for me.

This bridge is a testament both to Thomas Telford's engineering and design skills - it's architecture blends perfectly with the castle, so as you walk across the two fit together. The preserved toll charges on the old toll house are an interest in themselves - 6d for a score of cattle and 1d for a foot passenger.

The bridge was awesome.. So beautiful. Never saw a suspension bridge connected to a castle earlier. Near the beach, there is a path to go and walk on this bridge. It's photogenic and lovely. With Castle on one side and sea beneath you. Highly recommend to go on it. It will take max 15-20min to go, enjoy the view and come back.

Telford suspension bridge. Still free to cross. Peaceful besides the resident birds. But a delight. Hidden gem

Although National Trust anyone can access this bridge for free. Just follow the path round next to the main road below the castle walls. Worth a look.

Great time out with my family, best to get there early as gets busy, lots of steps to top of castle but most have handrail. Parking is by phone app or Internet only. Staff are friendly and a little coffee shop in carpark.
