Took my Rover V8 cylinder head in to have them remove two seized exhaust bolts broken off in the aluminium head. Which they did and re-heilcoiled the two plus a third that was stripped.

They only charged me one hour labour and zero for parts and I picked it up later the same day.

I don't believe it took one hour; I think it was slightly longer because they were half an hour into doing just the first one.

These were the most stubborn broken exhaust bolts I've EVER encountered having defeated numerous nuts being welded on and breaking off.

They were so hard they barely centre punched and blunted two cobalt drills before I gave up and took it in.

If I ever take on this work again, I think I'll take it straight to Crewe engines; rather than wasting my own time eating away at my slim profit margin.

I've been using Crewe Engines for 15 years now and can only say the service I've received is as good as anyone could want. They have over the years replaced several engines in our fleet of Mercedes vans along with lots of repairs. Always received a top service. They give good honest advice along with a very fair price for quality work.
Last Friday they pulled out all the stops and in all reality rescued me from a very bad breakdown situation, for this gents you get 10 points and a "Big Gold Star". I can't thank you enough, you went above and beyond.
For sure I will be calling on Crewe Engines for the next 15 years.
Hard for me to understand the few negative reviews below, it's the polar opposite to the service I've received.
One very happy customer.

Had loads of work done here on different cars over the years and never had a problem. The work carried out has been exemplary and they are always open and honest with work and cost, I highly recommend them and would not take my car anywhere else. As for the bad reviews I've seen on here all I can say is you can't please everyone some people just love to complain :)

Used this company a couple of times for refurb engines they are very friendly when selling you their products, however when you have a problem they don't stand by their products. The owner would not discuss the problem with me and one member of staff stated it was up to me to prove that their product was faulty. Had all the usual tests done got reports and they still would not accept liability. I will never use this company again.

Can't fault them. They had pretty much every chance to get a fair share of money from me, but we're bluntly honest and saved me money.
Very knowledgeable, very helpful! Ever need anything related to an engine these are the guys I recommend!

The worst company i have ever dealt with. Ruined my 2.5-16 190E engine. Paid them nearly £5,000 for a full rebuild and had nothing but problems ever since. They dont want anything to do with it.
I regret going to this company.
I have to spend a lot of money to get the car rectified. They used incorrect parts...The tolerances were all wrong, and to top it all off they incorrectly bored out the engine.
If you value your car i'd look elsewhere.

I had a full engine re-build on my motorhome and it runs perfectly, we've been to Scotland and back in it and not had any problems.

Honest guy's, saved me a packet. Told me not to spend money on my Mercedes-Benz sprinter engine and to cut my losses. Thank you for being honest and not ripping me off. Chris
