parking outside...
ceiling height of the building should have been more...because of less height...looking bit cramped...
Furniture upholstery should be changed...sofa is looking very old...
Floor mat shall be provided inside wash room...
Lifts are very small...max 4 persons can travel...that too very tight...
Restaurant...food...buffet...excellent

But of you are planning to visit yas Island it will take 30-40 minutes drive.
Overall it was fine but I would not rate it as a 4 star hotel cause it is definitely not.

The hotel has a good location for shopping, ATM only 1 min walking (Hamdan Shopping Center), mosque also not far (5 min walking)...etc.

There is no hotel parking, parked on the side of the building which is paid.
Rooms were ok, when we went to check in they asked for 10mins to check the room which should have been ready.
Breakfast was good but not much variety. Live omelette station was good.

The Novel Hotel city center in Abu Dhabi is decent and clean, and the visual presentation is acceptable, however the moment you walk in you get a strong odor which is a mix of body deodorant and old musty/muggy building. It looks like an old building and it feels like an old building because once you exit the elevator on your floor you get a STRONG odor of mildew or something else.
I'll give the hotel staff a big kudos because they do a great job to maintain the cleanliness and they are prompt in attending to needs and business request.
The rooms are clean and neat but if you liked comfortable beds especially the queen or king size, don't hold your breath. King size bed was simply two twins pushed together so sleeping in that bed was not comfortable. The pillows are heavy and bulky but at least the sheets, and room are clean.
The bathrooms are not comfortable at all. The showers are small, water pressure is horrible and there was no hairdryer in the room as I find in most places.
They have provided ports to be able to connect a computer to the TV so you can do HDMI, USB etc... There is a water kettle in the room but as in most other places you get a microwave or something of the sort, in here you get nothing like that.
The food is decent and over all does the trick to take away your hunger but its not "remember that thing we ate" type of food.
If you are alone and not picky but just want a clean basic place, that meets a need, then this will do. If you are with family or on a vacation and want to relax then don't come here its basic and nothing to write home about.
Over all I'll give this place 3 out of 5.
