£2 in coins to enter but very much worth it. You can be there for hours. My dog loved the space and I highly recommend stopping by.
There are loos, a playground, loads of bins and a shop.
Getting to the beach is quite the adventure (flooded/ muddy) so good shoes are recommended.

Beautiful, big beach with forest walks. There are lovely grassy dunes at the back of the beach, and, behind them, water pools/lochans, and then the forest and car park. The mixed landscapes are beautiful. Large car park which has some amenities like a hot drinks and snacks place, a big play park, benches and bbq areas. Walks are way marked. Warning, though... the car park barrier is some way from the car park (1 mile maybe) and requires cash (coins only) to enter. Don't forget coins, whatever you do. Also, note that once in the car park, it takes a fair walk (20 mins) along the dunes heading North to find a path through/past the water and over the dunes to the beach (something to remember if you are timing your visit for sunrise... especially if you've forgotten your £2 barrier fee too ????). P.s. some nice driftwood to be found.

Great trails, nice beaches and lovely quiet corner of Gife coastline where you can hear the birds. Walk as short or long as you like - we managed 8 miles without realising. Clean toilet block and snack bar Salt and Pine make the £2 car access road fee a real bargain.

Tentsmuir Forest and Beach is a little hidden gem and is a beautiful park and beach to explore. It is rarely crowded and we have taken our dogs to run or just gone to enjoy the beach. The drive into the park is down a winding tight road with passing lanes. Entry into the park is £2. There are substantial places to park. In terms of amenities, there is a food shack and bathrooms. There is also a sign warning the dangers of ticks. The park consists of three beautiful pine trees with sand dunes and moors and the walk to the beach is hilly and rugged. Be prepared to walk a bit to reach the beach. I share this because to get to the beach is not for someone that has difficulty walking. You can walk for miles along the North Sea and enjoy the beautiful and peaceful beach. There is a historical significance of the beach as there are concrete blocks that were used as coastal defence against landing aircraft during World War II. Troops were based here to staff the coastal defences. I appreciate the expanse of pines trees set against the sand dunes with grasses and wild flowers next to the beach and sea. Because it takes a bit of a drive and costs money, I believe not a lot of people come to this beach so it is not crowded and I appreciate that aspect. For an inexpensive day out to explore beauty, nature and reconnect to Mother Earth, I highly recommend Tentsmuir Beach.

Fabulous deserted sandy beach.
Beware of the tide it comes in very fast!
About a 10 min walk to beach over the dunes from carpark.
Lovely playground next to carpark, with plenty of picnic tables.
Great starting point for hikes through forest.
Entry is £2 per vehicle (coins only)

The area is lovely, this is a paid parking and was very busy.
We were just hiking through so were pleased to be able to utilise the toilet facilities!

Excellent beach and facilities, including a wonderful cafe in the car park.
