We have just got home from a fantastic festive afternoon tea here. Santa arrived in a plane and then we had a gorgeous, freshly made afternoon tea in the cafe. We also saw loads of small aircraft come and go and a private helicopter come in to refuel. Fantastic place and staff were brilliant.

Absolutely awesome place to visit, really nice staff, friendly and professional with lots of interesting things to see. Cafe was closed when visited today however I believe they are opening this weekend and are doing afternoon teas but need to be pre booked. Really good access for disabled people and great parking quite close to A1 so easy access as well and if your lucky enough to be a pilot great flight services and avgas available as well as jetA1 fuel. Great flight maintenance and plenty of parking for aircraft PPR required.

Fantastic cafe and facilities to watch the comings and goings of the aircraft at this small airfield. We visited in December for a special visit from Santa (and the Grinch!) - what a fabulous time!! Santa flew in from the North Pole in a Cessna 150, we all feasted on a delicious home made afternoon tea, followed by hot chocolate and singing to Santa. Fab place, check Facebook page for opening as it's seasonal - April onwards, weather dependent. Highly recommended!

First visit to this airfield which I didn't even know existed till a couple of days ago. There are no signposts on the A1 so you'll have to keep your eyes open for the turn off. It has a rough car park, but is adequate. The cafe and viewing area are really good, and you can watch the planes take off and land while enjoying a cup of coffee or bit to eat. It was a real pleasure to visit so will be back again soon.

Great little airfield that's busier than it first seems! I got a flying experience for my dad's birthday today in a Cessna light aircraft, a 30 minute flight over the Northumberland coast and over a few local castles, definitely worth a trip!
There's a nice little cafe with helpful and very friendly staff too, can't wait to return!

Great place to visit in Northumberland (child friendly) with opportunity to sit in aircraft, truck and RAF 1940s car. Hangar tours and great cafe, and of course , chance to see lots of small aircraft taxi and take off????

Fantastic afternoon flight with Sam in the Chipmunk. Beautiful airfield, with amazing local scenery. So lucky to be able to experience classic 1940s aviation in 2022.
