This is the most accessable approach to the park, close to Cockfosters tube and local buses with café, play area and toilets. The wooded areas are lovely but after rain, the mud is challenging. Ponds and an obilisk complete the attractions. When the house is restored it will show how the occupants previously lived including WW2 intelligence.

Trent Park is so beautiful at this time of year, especially when the sun comes out. Lots to see if you wander off the paths....loads of chestnuts to pick up recently (for roasting), and loads of interesting looking fungi and mushrooms.... don't pick them though!

The park itself is nice but the way to the car park once you turn off the main road is very uneven, not suitable for cars with low clearance. No problems for SUVs but small cars may have trouble. Also it was dry when we visited but there is potential for a lot of mud if there was recent rain.

Decided to venture (a bit) further out in London than we normally do, and nice to find some woodland for walking the dog. There is also the Japanese water garden nearby which is beautiful

Plenty of space plus an overflow. Cant say much about a car park.....HOWEVER(!) the signs fail to say what time the gates are locked. Literally, there are signs saying "gates close at......." and a blank space. Not so useful! We got locked in along with another car and there is nothing you can do except get a cab home (or cycle home as we did) and pick your car up the next day.

Car park is terrible with huge pot holes. Low cars/ sports cars BEWARE! The bottom will most likely scrape. I definitely suggest staying away from the car park on the left near the cafe.

Search on the Google maps for the Japanese Garden. One of the most beautiful place near London!

Very hard to find the place, but as you go in and follow the arrows there is enough parking around. Better signs for parking and navigation through the lot could be helpful.
