What a breath of fresh air! Most shops aren't really interested in what you actually need, just what they want to sell you. Well Willies goes above and beyond to serve you with excellent advice and makes sure you have the right product for you. The shop is well laid out with lots of choice of equipment covering the entire price range and if they happen to not have it then they'll get it. Luke and Calista, who served me, were both full of knowledge and went out of their way to advise and help. Prices are very competitive and there's even a car park at the rear of the shop. A lot of services are available while you wait. I had blades sharpened in 10 minutes (It takes a week at my local ice rink). I have no hesitation in recommending Willies and will be returning soon for new skates for my wife.

Great shop with expert staff who certainly go the extra mile. We ordered new figure skates for our daughter and, although there were some unavoidable issues with her size, the staff were brilliant re sorting her out. Couldn't have asked for more - highly recommended????????

Ordered some shoulder pads and gloves online and these guys were super helpful over the phone, assuring that the kit arrived the next day in time for my first hockey session!

Even though I didn't buy my skates here (bought them from a local shop), the guys working here were really helpful and giving me some great advice, as I was experiencing a lot of pain from my skates.

All round great customer service and would highly recommend!

The guys at Willies have been superb every time! Greeted almost as soon as going in, no pressure from the staff to move on, or upsell!

Measured me up to make sure I got in the correct size skates, tried one size on, as I was between two, & decided on the size that was unfortunately out of stock, the staff were happy to order the other size in.

It took a little longer to get the size I needed than expected but that was due to no fault of the store! Went back in to collect them and they wanted to ensure they were right before I committed! Also bought some other gear on their recommendation.

Will 100% be back!

Spoke to a man on the phone who helped me choose what skates were best for my skill level.
Very knowledgeable, super friendly, didn’t oversell me a product I didn’t need.
Would definitely go/ call this shop for any future advice I may need as I advance in my skate career & any future skates I may purchase.
Would definitely recommend this shop & the staff that work there.

We went today with the family to get our sons first decent ice hockey skates.

The place is like Aladdin den- so much choice and have a look upstairs at the artificial rink.

John the manager helped our son in picking the right fit, feel and suitable price budget.

The service was out of this world; John showed what true customer service should be.

He spent time and patience with our son with getting exact measurements and trying different variations.

We parked at the back of the store and rang them once arrived. Able parking but make sure you drive slowly or you will miss it.

Can’t wait to go again soon

Very helpful staff with advice and fitting for my son. When we buy our next set of gear we will be returning here.

Update: ordered some new skates online Saturday evening and they arrived on Monday. Excellent service and I will definitely buy more from here (we are now addicted to ice hockey!)

Excellent, honest advice for myself and my partner (both beginners). Actually cared about us getting the right boots (which they unfortunately didn't have in stock) rather than just pushing a quick sale. Thanks guys!
