The menu uses seasonal and local produce (most of it from the owner's smallholding) and it was all SO delicious. Marley, the chef there (who also cooks at New Yard), came out and gave us a lowdown of each of the dishes. Without a doubt some of the best food I’ve eaten all year.
I think the menu changes each week but the dishes had been curated so there were lots of flavours things to try. We couldn't help ourselves and tried one of every thing (including a dessert each and a bottle of wine).
100% would recommend a visit - whether you're in the area or driving over from Penzance/nearby.
(I also went back the two following days for beetroot lattes and brownies)

Quiet spot, lovely view from the terrace outside. Has all the vegan/gf options if you want them.
I was going to say which bits of the breakfast were best but it was all outstanding. Sadly I didn’t take a photo of the second one!

It arrived on the table looking very sorry for itself and was full of rocket and salad and it was also in a wet brioche bun. We cancelled the croissants we ordered after the lady burnt the first ones and then sent her son to get some from the front counter which was clear to see wasn’t fresh. We also wondered why the tea was just water and then realised the teapot had a teabag in the basket where you normally put fresh tea and it wasn’t even touching any water.

Arrived just before the kitchen was due to shut, but the staff were very inviting and didn't rush us to choose. The breakfast baps were amazing, sausages and bacon were full of flavour, and cooked well. Clearly very high quality produce. Everything looked to be locally sourced.
The coffee was also very good, and again using beams from just up the road.
Used to visit here when it was a post office on holiday every year, glad to see its latest reincarnation has made great use of the location. Hoping they do well and will still be here next time I'm back.

My partner went to bed in the evenings dreaming of the next day's Salt Beef Toastie.
Superb food , great atmosphere and a team that make you feel like you found a home away from home.
We'll be back.
