Spent Fathers Day here for one of their open days, very interesting to be so close to this magnificent aeroplane. My Dad was very excited and particularly enjoyed getting inside the cockpit .
Only reason I gave 4 stars not 5 was because the catering van only took cash but had no sign up saying so therefore after queueing we were left disappointed and had to leave the site to buy lunch.

You have to take your hat off the the professional volunteers at the Avro Vulcan B2 XL426 Trust put on an amazing afternoon. Putting on the Dam Busters film on is 80th anniversary and the on a spectacular glorious sunny evening pulling out XL426 for fast full power run down the runway what an amazing British Bird looking splendid in the sunshine .the noise and smell will make your hair's on the back of your neck stick up such a amazing afternoon well worth our 426 mile round trip????????????????????????????????a must for anyone to see????????????????

Well worth a visit if you have an interest in cold war bombers, recommend anyone who wants to go in the cockpit to get there early as the slots soon book up.

Great day out. Lovely to get close to the iconic plane. Beautiful array of vintage cars on display. Parking on site, well spaced out, fantastic brass band, historic displays and friendly re-enactors and some very fairly priced food stalls. Really good value and wonderful to see the great work the volunteers are doing to restore the plane.

What a bit of history, what a fantastic jet which replaced the avro Lancaster bomber. The actual pilot who flew that vulcan told us a few stories about his time in the RAF and as the pilot of that great jet.

Well looked after aeroplane. 62 years old. Volunteers really helpful and knowledgeable. They organised a great event that was thoroughly enjoyable.

Very good plane. Would recommend it to anyone. Update: I came here again 2 weeks ago to the opening of the new venue for the Vulcan in the hanger and it was even better. Lots of enthusiastic volunteers that maintain the aircraft to such a high standard, I really to urge you to visit this!

The team looking after this stunning Vulcan deserve a great deal of praise. On the open day you can do a cockpit tour and at least on the day I attended the was an optional extra to be in the cockpit when they power up the APU to drive the control surfaces and bomb bay doors. I actually got to demonstrate the control surfaces and feel a Vulcan's stuck and rudder first hand. Once in a lifetime opportunity that I never expected to even be on offer. I'm very grateful to the XL426 team.
