Clachnaharry Sea Lock. You have to go looking to find this place. We were lucky and saw it all in action as a boat came off the firth and into the canal. Some seriously clever history of engineering here courtesy of one Thomas Telford. Well worth a stroll!

An enjoyable place to walk dogs. Lovely views over the Beauly Firth. There has been talk recently of mugging so not advised to walk alone.

Amazing area, not very well kept, a few required facilities that are NEVER operational.

I have lived next to the canal since moving here as a boy and was kindly given the job of rope catcher working up to opening all the gates and swing bridge, something I will always remember and I still watch as the boats go through to this day ????
