Lovely hotel set in a beautiful location. Very friendly, attentive and helpful staff in all departments. Our room was clean and tidy with a fab view over the river and the river views from the dining-room and terrace were spectacular. Our meals were excellent, particularly the full English breakfasts. Overall, a most enjoyable and memorable long weekend. Many thanks.

Perfect night's stay. So comfortable. Dinner was delicious too. We were upgraded to a room with a terrace directly overlooking the river. I recommend rooms 11 or 12

We had a lovely meal here with my mum. The food was good, especially the sticky toffee pudding, which was fantastic. It's not cheap but the location is great and overall it was worth it.

Just went for lunch. Food was very good, and staff were friendly and attentive. The view over the town and river is very nice too. Could have done without the 80's muzak soundtrack, but other than that, a lovely lunch!

Always a joy to visit & sit on the terrace to enjoy a drink or two, whilst taking in the glorious river.
Friendly staff,little horsebox bar outside a great idea.
Watching the activity on the river whilst having a drink, what could be better !

We got together for the evening and overnight stay with two other couples for a rare get together. The whole experience was great. The staff were friendly, efficient and professional. The rooms were very comfortable (really comfy beds and great showers). We really enjoyed our evening meal and breakfast. Can't fault it. Have been before and will go again. Thank you Charlton Arms.

Stopped in here for a couple of drinks early on a Sunday just after they opened at 12. We stood on the terrace overlooking the river and it was fabulous! Very friendly staff and a nice place, the food smelt lovely too. I really recommend calling in!
