The food is tasty , to be honest. But it is not for families , the waitresses are not wearing respectful clothes. I was incomfortable with my family and i can not go there again although the food was good.

Dartington Hall is a fascinating building set in delightful gardens and well worth a visit. The hall and surrounding buildings include a cinema, art gallery, cafe, restaurant, gift shop and accommodation. There is an admission charge if you wish to walk around the gardens.

Although there was no TV in the room and the breakfast only ok I would still give 5 stats as the staff have been outstanding, couldn't do enough for you, nothing was too much trouble.
The rooms are spacious and well maintained, the food in the evening was lovely and there was a good choice of menu options, the conference hall is amazing and PA system was heard by all.
The deer walk is a lovely stroll along the river Dart with opportunities to see the deer in the fields, very popular with dog walkers, long walk is suggested 90mins but it only took me 45mins to wander round and read the information boards.
Very nice get away if that's what you are looking for.

Beautiful place and gardens. Taking into consideration the history, we found Dartington Hall NOT really conducive for wheelchair users. We were restricted to the woodland walk, without any views of the gardens. We also came across a number of 'dead ends' as there were steps bringing us to a halt, needing us to go back the way we came. The Upsides to our visit was Free Parking for Blue Badge Holders ????????
And what I Personally Call 'A Free Massage' when travelling over the courtyard cobblestones in the wheelchair ???? Not sorry for my sense of humour
