I arrived here on what was a very wet day. I was looking for lunch and I thought the options were good. It was quite busy I was fortunate to get a table. I found the staff helpful and it was good for eating on your own. I had chilli con carne which was one of the specials it was a really good helping. Nice cosy wee cafe with plenty character.

Little pricey , but food is yummy. Could do with a smidge more soup in bowl, it was only just half full. Some of the chutneys they use, in sandwiches, are far too sweet. So I could only eat half my pannini, which was disappointing, as I was hungry. Boogie woogie do deliver, which is a bonus, but delivery stops very early. They also close the restaurant very early, hot food orders stopping by 2:45.

Very busy, as a table of 5 adults and 2 children our order was taken quickly and our food was on our table in no time. It was very nice and cost was very reasonable.

I ordered a burger with a choice of two toppings. I chose bacon and black pudding. I got a burnt crusty burger with a tiny smear of barely noticeable black pudding and less than one piece of bacon.
By way of side, there was a salad drenched in a revolting sauce that tasted like sweaty feet, a tiny teaspoon of coleslaw and a few crisps.
Mostly entirely inedible and I left three quarters of it.
My partner ordered Cullen Skink which was lukewarm.

Will never go back.

Absolute gem of a cafe. As a vegan I’ve not found a cafe with as much choice, and delicious food in 25 years of looking in the NE of Scotland. Huge chunky slabs of fresh bread, big portions of fresh, delicious food. Fantastic. My mum was hugely impressed with her Tractorman’s Lunch too. Best cafe in NE Scotland.

Thought it would be a good late lunch, got there and was very surprised after seeing some of the other reviews. I was shocked at how small the actual menu was and when the food came It wasn't up to much at all. I could say that the portions aren't too bad. But for what I paid its very shocking. That much for soup and sandwiches that come with packed butter, that are made with frozen defrosted chicken and very little taste, My partner had tuna mayo but I'm not sure where the mayo actually was? There scones are good though.???? although for just that I won't be going again.

First time visit. Met with family for lunch, lovely menu, food tasty and fresh, very reasonably priced. Staff friendly and polite.
