This is where dubai started it’s humble beginning. Fishing and pearls diving as the primary source of revenue, it became tax free heaven for merchants who used dubai as their import export hub, attracting merchants from all over the world. It’s nice to see this place as its past glory is preserved well while dubai became a metropolis. Town planners here did a wonderful job.

Serene. A quick fix of stillness from the busy city. Best in the afternoon during colder months. I was in awe watching the camel and its baby thought they are bound it seems that they are well taken care of. A nice walk from the heritage village to Al Seef then walk back to metro. It’s soothing.

The heritage of the people of this land is restored here in about 20 buildings with many displays…. Historical, poetry, handicrafts, fishing and pearl farming are all here. Foods from around the world. Nearby port and merchants and spice markets…. It’s basically the heart of Dubai.
We dined in a Nepali restaurant ????

Located on the Marina Mall Island close to the city centre, the traditional oasis village offers a glimpse at Abu Dhabi’s past. Here you can shop, discover artefacts and watch artisans make pottery, blow glass and weave fabric on a loom.

The village is also home to the Emirates Heritage Club, which hosts workshops for traditional crafts. You can watch craftsmen demonstrate traditional skills such as metalwork, pottery, weaving and spinning yarn. They may even let you try your hand at their trade too.

Don’t forget to check out the village’s little spice shop, which offers a range of dried herbs, handmade soaps and plenty of souvenirs to take home to family and friends.

This is where Dubai's humble beginnings began. The main sources of income were fishing and pearl diving, and as Dubai served as its import and export hub, it attracted traders from all over the world. It's good to view this location because Dubai became a metropolis while its former splendor was kept nicely. The town planners here performed a fantastic job.
