Be careful with shopping from this shop as they keep expired food items here. When informed that they sold me an expired item, they just don't care.

Lovely park set next to the River Derwent. Been coming here for over 50 years. Still got the train and boat rides! Nowadays for me this is a stop off point for food whilst on a circular walk via Matlock Bath, taking in High Tor and the Height of Abraham. There is also a small paddling pool, ideal for the toddlers in high summer.

This is a really lovely park, full of amenities that are in separate sections. Some nice views of the hills in the background & all this with a river running along side it all.

Really well kept and beautiful park with excellent landscaping. The flowers and plants were brilliant and it was nice seeing so many people enjoying themselves and relaxing in the park. The cafe and ice cream vans were nice additions as well.

Very nice walk around with a cafe park for the littleness and a skatepark we visited there was a local there that could do flips and was helping my kids learn some basics was very nice and polite and even let me take a photo of him

Really nice mix of sports/playground/splashzone/grass/benches/gardens, with a boating lake, ride-on train and café. Very flat and smooth so great for scooters/skates etc. It gets quite busy during nice weather though. (Especially the playground.)

Definitely worth going if there's a food festival on too.

A pleasant family park with an excellent cafe, boating lake, children's play area with a splash pool. Nice riverside walk. Toilets are 20p

Hall Leys is a smallish park with lots to do.

The park has several “areas”, including toilets (there is a charge) plenty of benches scattered around the park, a cafe, a decorative garden which at the height of summer is really vibrant and full of colour.
The park is also accessible for prams and wheelchair users.

Ice cream trucks often occupy the area on warmer days,
Some of its features include a skate park, tennis court, basketball court, a large plying field, a boules area, a couple of concrete table tennis tables, a small boat “lake” which can be hired during peak seasons, a miniature train ride up and back down the park which is suitable for very young children, and a park suitable for younger and older children, with a small water area which again is switched on in the peak seasons.

From the back of the park there is a small woodland area with walks that go up to the fantastic views from Starkholmes and looking back over Matlock.

There is no parking for Hall Leys, however there is limited parking nearby the park, and plenty of town centre parking with a short walk involved.

Great Park for all ages.
Cafe brilliant lots of choice too.
Skate board park for kids. Well attended
Big lads helping younger ones was good to see.
Nice walks around.
