Cute Little Church. Situated on a hillside this Church has one of the finest views in the district.It looks over the beautiful Goyt Valley to the wooded hills. The church was built in 1871. Less than a mile from the church was an important gunpowder mill.The church sits on the edge of the Peak National Park: the spa town of Buxton is just six miles to the South. Situated on a hillside. There is an hourly train service to Stockport and Manchester and this service also serves Manchester Airport.Important restoration work was carried out during 1989 and 1999.*****

We want to lay wreaths on remembrance Sunday the children made at school and home. Even as an atheist, I was impressed with the almost secular theme of Remembrance Sunday. The religious element was there, as it should be but it was also motivated by stories and community spirit and pride. Lady there was very welcoming. Decor and information was lovely
