I hope someone read it before going through western union App. I have sent small amount for the first time through WUApp, which I was thinking to be fast and easy WAY, but it took me number of days and multiple follow ups to get it through. They have got access to my personal documents through UAE pass. But still they took my ID, Passport, bank account statement, even the message with OTP and screen shot and deduction msg from my bank. You have to compromise on all of your security and surrender all the documents, after this all even there is another company calls me on behalf of western union to get some sort of further verification. I felt that they have been very poor in response to calls. Most of the times they didn't answer after running my phone number through system. I have to contact them from different number to get it answered. Don't send money through western union App...

THE WORST PLACE EVER YOU CAN DEAL WITH
I had a very bad experience with western union.
I meant to transfer a big amount to home country for EMERGENCY purpose, WU debited the amount and send a msg saying my transfer failed and they didn't refund my amount.
NEVER answered their phone, rarely if they will reply emails and u have to wait forever to get their responds
The CARELESS customer service never get back to me after million emails and mentioning that i need my money back asap since i have an emergency case

Still waiting for their slow response
Those ppl doesn't understand the meaning of EMERGENCY.

May everyone read my review and never deal with such a careless service

Customer service call center is horrible. Never got someone to answer quickly. If I really want to talk to them, have to let the phone connected for around 30 minutes. Then someone will answer.
Always use the WU app to do remittance. Everytime they will put my transaction under review. Initially I always get email for transaction in review. But the last few transactions, never got any email. I have to initiate sending email of my proof of transaction. Yet still nobody respond to the email for days and look into my transaction. I have to endure 30 minutes waiting for the customer service call center to answer me. They said it is due to technical difficulty that the email was not sent. And yet this is happening for quite sometimes. Hallo... anyone working here ?

I had very bad and worst experience with Al Fardan/Western Union exchange service in Al rigga Dubai on dated 26/7/2022. I sent some money through Al Fardan / Western Union through online mobile application and I received SMS that money is deducted from my account. two days after I received email for security check and they asked my documents including bank statement and emirates ID, I provided them and after two days i received sms that transaction is approved and the receiver can collect money after providing MTCN number. My son went to the branch in UK but they said we can not proceed as of some technical issue. I called here in Al fardan help line, they did not reply any satisfactory answer.
My family need urgently that amount but it delayed of about one week without successful completion of the transaction.
I would not recommend any one to send money through Western Union or Al Fardan.

So careless!! Poor service!
They made me wait for one hour and even the name was same in my id card and in receipt, they refused without any reason so we went through Al ansar exchange, thank God , got my money safely pls don't use western union, they are alot and mostly they refuse to give money in dubai

iI was supposed to receive funds from NZ , my family sent me as per my passport name as requested by agent of western union in Auckland. In Dubai here when i went to exchange to receive funds, they asked as per my Emirates ID and visa, the name also includes my father name . Now there is contradiction in the policy of the western union, i cannot receive fuds due to name difference in the EID (Which includes my father name) and The passport (Which shoes only my name). Now i am stuck . What we suppose to do in this case. I called the toll free number and they are the worst people to deal with .

Conclusion : NEVER USE WESTERN UNION .

Pathetic customer service - no track and trace of money - false misleading information. DO NOT USE their online app for money transfer or any services. They will provide information status that money is delivered but it is actually not and will not even help you to track and trace the money and inform the customer if a transaction was unsuccessful . YOu need to wait and wait for several weeks for a resolution and no explanation from their side. very weak mechanism of global bank transfer and customer service has no idea about it.
They need to seriously look into their business mechanism and customer service SLA's and need to bring sincere trust in their customers with proper status updates . PLEASE AVOID AND USE A TRUSTED PARTNER

I have sent funds to my family via the western union app.

There was no option to mention middle name and my family is unable to access the money - I understand this is a security risk and happy to oblige by amending/cancelling the transfer and resending it.

The process of this is excruciating and frustrating, since the service delivery provider is incapable of communicating or replying back to emails, I have called western union and have been asked to call Al fardan exchange. I call Al fardan exchange and have been told they are waiting on Western union!

After visiting the branches to sort this issue out - which was informed by the call center, I was told to send an email. I send the email last week 8th of March, 2020 and got no response until 11th. After this I was informed they need another 2-3 working days - this completed on Saturday this week.

Until today there is no response - no courtesy to acknowledge my email or give me an update and a resolution!

This is extremely disappointing especially when you are transferring funds to support family members who are in need!
