My partner and I went there while on holiday a few moths ago. We loved it.

We were well received by the manager and the staff at the bar, who were friendly and professional.
Food was great and in large quantity. We were overall satisfied with the quality of the food and with the service.

It’s a dog friendly venue which is a plus for us.

We stop off here around 7 o’clock and asked if they could accommodate us for dinner, there were seven of us , no problem was the answer and we could have a table in the snug . Fantastic little room with its own bar . The host could not have been more helpful, explaining all the dishes on the menu ( if you go have the curry one of the best I’ve ever had )everything was fantastic great beer and great food. Wonderful host , will definitely come again when in the area.

The food is incredible! The staff were really welcoming. The cocktails were super good. Defo recommend the cheese bomb starter. We will 100% be coming back when we come back to Cornwall. Thank you guys ????

Absolutely exquisite...so much food! Excellent service, a fantastic historical venue with a great ambience. Our dog was very welcome & much admired. We will endeavour one more meal in this short trip.

Wow, wow, wow! The most incredible Sunday roast I've had in a long time. Very generous portions, and all incredibly tasty. As if the plate wasn't enough, had sides of potato dauphinoise and cheesy broccoli and cauliflower. Dog friendly pub, even came over and gave him a treat. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful, nice to have a bit knowledge of what's being served, knowing where beer/cider is from and what it tastes like. Definitely recommend to anyone in the area!

Absolutely wonderful food here. Our family were on holidays for the week in Cornwall and we gave this place a try one evening. So glad we did, staff were friendly, great choice...superb! Thoroughly recommend.

One word “perfection”
(followed by several more)!
Went for Mother’s Day lunch, the lamb was the best I’ve ever had! (Don’t tell the wife) all 6 of us had different meals and they all were the highest standard. Good portions and hot…
The prawn and salmon/avocado starter could go down as one of my last meals!

The vegetables on the roast diner were perfectly cooked and the cauli/broccoli cheese was unbelievable.. all meats (locally sourced) were tasty and melt in the mouth.. one more word “exquisite”..
we we’re certainly looked after by the waiting staff, 10 out of 10.
Will most certainly be recommending and returning….
We are on holiday in Cornwall for a few days but will be with you again in May for my wife’s 50th…
