I stayed here the night before my wedding and the staff went above and beyond. The room was amazing (especially the bath!) the food was lovely, both evening meal and breakfast. I had bucks fizz for breakfast and in the evening. Honestly cannot praise this place enough. Don't hesitate to eat here or stay here. Thanks so much. Courtney

Friendly check in.
Rooms are very clean.
Felt very safe and secure, as a single woman travelling alone.
Only thing missing was a hairdryer, but am sure if you asked they would get you one.
Cant comment on the food, i didnt eat there.
Thanks guys for having me i definitely will be back!

Went in to have lunch with my mum who’s in a wheelchair. Food really was fantastic. Home cooked and plenty of it! Staff very helpful. Lovely lady behind the bar did table service for us. Other customers also very helpful….had doors opened for us on the way in and out to help me get my mum in easily. Nice to see a local friendly pub.
Will definitely visit again.

Dropped in midway through a rainy bike ride on my tod and I was promptly sat on a lovely table next to a fish tank, which gave me some company. The service was quick, friendly and attentive and the food was excellent, affordable and satisfying. The menu is standard pub-grub fare and I went for the gammon steak and egg with a baked potato and a salad. The gammon was hot, salty and succulent. The chef put pomegranate seeds in the salad which which shows an unnecessary (and appreciated) attention to detail. Could have done with a pat of butter for the potato though. The bar-lady looked at me all bug-eyed when I asked if I could have a scoop of ice cream with an espresso on top but I understand it's an unusual request. Still, she did it with patience and good humour and I slurped it up happily. I haven't had an impromptu gammon lunch so good in my life and I would recommend this establishment to anyone who wants well-made English pub fare, with friendly service, at a great price.

Stopped off to have lunch here on route to visiting friends.
Great service. The food was lovely and reasonably priced. Good sized portions too.

A lovely warm welcome from Gemma and great service from Emma or was it the other way around. Either way the food was far more than we could eat and it was great value for money. Everyone involved in the business are lovely. You can't go wrong with a visit to this homely pub. Thanks everyone. Nige & Yvonne

First time for an afternoon drink and have decided this is to be mine and partners local. Friendly staff, comfortable atmosphere and I'm assured by my partner (I had to pop out whilst she had a snack) the food was lovely and a generous portion. Will no doubt increase the 4 star to 5 star for food when we enjoy a full meal.

We will be back often, cheers.

Very accommodating and welcoming staff. We had a large party of +20 people and there were 0 issues with any part of the service or food. Personally ordered;
