The sign on the door says business hours Mon-Sat 9 am-7 pm. I’ve been here waiting for 20 mins since 9 am on a Friday and no one is still yet to show up.
If you’re not going to open at 9am, maybe you shouldn’t put 9am as your opening time. Some people don’t have all day to wait around thanks.

It was a very nice evening with friends at this lovely cottage looking pub. Forget the renovations going on outside. As soon as you walk in, there is a warm feeling about the place. Service was welcoming and friendly, and the pub had a good selection of beers, ales, continental lagers & soft drinks, etc, for choice. The menu was not basic however there is a good choice of meals from Beef, Chicken, Prawn & Pork plus the classic Fish n chips, in various cooking styles for you to find something of interest for your palette. The food was served hot and of good quality with plenty of it but not too much, and all plates were returned empty. Our waiter was attentive but not overly so, and served us in good time. The atmosphere was nice & warm and the amenities were of a good standard with soap & hot water. We will be returning here on a future date, thank you were much.

We came her for food on a Friday night. The food was absolutely stunning with will definitely be returning soon. The pepper steak burger was sooo good. The service was fast and the staff are friendly.

What a fabulous meal! Managed to bag a last minute table for 2 for Sunday Lunch! Ended up being the best roast we’ve had….Ever! Every thing was fresh, hot and perfectly cooked, Yorkshire puddings were massive and the portion sizes were more than enough, wash that down with a lovely pint of larger it was the perfect Sunday afternoon, thanks to the Castle Inn crew especially, Olivia and Ella who looked after us so well, we will definitely be back x

Fantastic meal tonight at the castle inn with some friends. Castle tower burger is brilliant, always good cold pints too.

Cannot rate the food Highly enough with the New landlord and Chefs.
The Food is absolute Quality.
The Tower Burger with Potato wedges was hands down the best burger I have ever tasted.
My other family Members have already worked their way through the entire menu and also say that every dish is a winner.
Great Job and I will most certainly be back ????Thank you.
I would highly recommend everybody give it a try. It's most certainly gourmet food, but with standard pub rate prices.????????????. Exceptional.

Very busy Easter Monday, but an acceptable time waiting for food and food was delicious,piping hot and served with a smile. Dogs welcome at bar tables and separate gluten free menu. No floater coffees,but selection of coffees and tea available. Ale also available.

This is my go-to pub in Caldicot and is under new management since my last review.

They have done a lot to the pub cosmetically and extending the beer garden!

They also have a great updated menu.

There is a great walking route I take down the coastal path, then past the actual castle, and lands me at the pub every time.

Overall there is a great selection of food and drinks and a variety of theme nights too.

Dog friendly and have a cozy log fire and blankets in the winter months.

Always friendly and if you need something specific, they're always happy for you to ask!
