Calda House is a ruined manor that was wrecked 250 years ago.
It's an interesting stop off, the ruin and the nearby ruins of Ardvreck Castle are set in spectacular scenery. There's a car park nearby, so it's worth getout for some photos, providing it's not raining.

A lovely ruin close to ardvreck castle. You park in a layby about 100 yards away. At the castle is a display board telling you about the house and how it looked.

Imaging living here years ago right on the Loch side, with the stunning ardvreck castle in the background, it’s a must stop
Locating if you’re doing the NC500 or even if your just visiting scotland.

Ruin of Calda House, a nice break at the NC500 route ????????️????????✨ could get up close. No cellphone service. Next to a sandy beach where people were swimming ????

There is an info board on Calda House near Ardvreck Castle, which is visible across the lake. Ruins of an old house. We stopped briefly, pretty spot to stretch the legs.
