The staff is very impolite and humiliating
It’s a shame such a good experience ones should share to be ruined by unprofessional, ruthless and rude safari guide
Moreover they came to pick us up late and without notice

I haven't personally used the boating facilities but would like to highlight the outstanding customer service and help I recieved from staff at Le Boat at Laggan. I walked through the locks whilst walking the great glen way with my dogs. One injured his leg on the way and the staff at Le Boat went above and beyond to help me. Ringing the bus company and helping find a lift into the next town for veterinary treatment after the bus refused to allow the dog on the bus. I can only imagine the customer service would be fantastic during boating trips so would highly recommend this company, I hope to book with them in the future. Thank you so much for all your help.

The team at Laggan was so helpful and kind to us. We had issues with our rental car after arriving at our boat that they helped us square away. The boat was in good working order and we were given an upgraded boat because the one we selected was in need of service.

Very impressed with Le Boat from the beginning to the end of our holiday on the Caledonian Canal. The pre departure information was excellent and answered many of our questions including suggested routes, clothing and information for the area. Directions to the boat yard were very clear and helpful in ensuring we arrived without any hitches. We hired an Elegance boat which was spacious and well equipped for six adults. The staff at the boat yard are very welcoming and friendly and the instruction was excellent, ensuring we were confident handling the boat. The boats are very clean and comfortable, with a kitchen that has plenty of pans, utensils etc to ensure you can be self sufficient. The Captain’s bag, located on board, contained all the information required, including detailed maps of the canal. Excellent company would certainly recommend.

We are based in East Anglia which is relatively flat, so any small hills are a novelty for us. The Scottish Highlands are totally CINEMATIC, on a completely different level which you cannot explain and need to see for yourself. We opted for one of the funky Horizon boats from Le Boat and it was brilliant, a really comfortable and well featured base for our adventure. All of the staff at Laggan are great but Sheila in reception and one of the technicians Keith really did look after us exceptionally well. I always say 'the further you go North, the colder the climate and the warmer the people' - most certainly true in this case. We booked in 2019 for Easter 2020 but Covid-19 lockdown pushed this to 2021 and Scottish Canal maintenance to 2022. Le Boat were superb at moving the booking forward and extremely helpful in Easter 2022 when some more canal maintenance ran late. Book with absolute confidence - the Caledonian Canal should be on your bucket list somewhere near the top.

Had a fabulous long weekend on the kingfisher 2, was our first boating trip and had the best time.

Sheila the receptionist was a superstar - warm, welcoming, patient and professional. The technician who showed up the ropes and gave a driving lesson was also first class. Beautiful location and amazing wee boat ⛵

Hired Le Boat for a week, ended up back 2 days early due to the maintenance of the boat being incredibly poor. Lack of curtains at windows, poor cleanliness (you pay extra for this service!), broken water gauge, missing lights, worn ropes (definitely a safety concern). You pay to collect on a Saturday but they don’t have the staff to ‘get you away from the dock’ before canals close at 5.30pm so Saturday is a write off effectively. Tried to call to report issues but no answer. On returning the boat, no real acknowledgement or care from Sheila (no idea if she is manager or owner) but needless to say I’d avoid at all costs. Effectively we paid for a 7day holiday and returned after 4. This is not a cheap experience, so choose reputable company that cares about its guests and ensuring their comfort and safety. Very disappointing.
