Desi Dhaba is a North Indian Restaurant that specializes in Punjab centric food. It reflects the DNA of Punjab right from the ambience,decor and long listing menu of mighty punjabis along with fully licensed bar. It's spacious with dim lights and a splash of colour here and there with multi colour bangles, kite strings and some great Punjabi quotes adorning the walls. The centre stage is for live singing where singer sung wonderful melodies that certainly elevated the whole dining experience. And during weekends you got to see live Bhangra performance or you can join them too with a step or so.

We started off with malai broccoli and Dahi palak me kebab. Malai broccoli was superb, creamy and perfectly grilled, not overdone or under done. Dahi palak ke kebab was extremely soft n was just falling apart, though taste was pretty decent. For drinks we had coral reef and melon berry lemonade and those were perfect thirst quenchers with our delicious punjabi meals.

For mains we had sarson ka saag n makki ki roti along with dal makhani, paneer butter masala. Being a punjabi I am really hard to impress with sarson ka saag as I always lookout for that yummy authentic taste of saag that I had eaten growing up in Punjab. And the saag I had here was pretty decent and I would say much better than many known places here in Dubai and I would be back to try this out whenever I am craving saag. It was accompanied with gur or jaggery and ghee. Dal Makhani was thick in consistency, creamy rich and delicious to taste. Paneer too was delicious and went so good with crisp rotis alongside.

We ended our meal with gajar ka halwa, served warm loaded with nuts, mellowed sweetness and great to taste. The staff was very friendly and hospitable. The live singer sung some great melodies and thus the whole dining experience was etched in our memories that consisted of great music, beautiful decor, yummy food and friendly staff. This place has definitely become our family's favourite and one of our go to places from now on and I whole heartedly recommends it too...

Amazing experience at Desi Dhaba bir Dubai for eid buffet. Sumptuous spread l, live chaat counter was excellent. Dominic the manager was very courteous and service was also great. Would love to go back. Special thanks to singers and bhangra dancers who made our Eid special.

Awesome food and the live bhangra performance by professionals adds to the ambiance. Food and drink lovers would definitely enjoy such a place. You don't just eat here but can also dance on the floor. So what are you waiting for...

The place has good vibes, has a Hindi live singing and both singers are good, we really enjoyed listening to them, then there's live bangra that too is good not that great.. the bangra guy is quite energetic then the girls ???? anyways the food was ok ok little on the spicer side after telling don't make it spicy everything on the platter was spicy, we order chicken plater there were different kebabs all was ok I really didn't like it, then ordered jeera rice dal fry just cause was disappointed with the platter itself but again same the dal rice was ok there was no taste at all it was just spicy, the place is good the vibe is good, staff too, but may be my choice of food was not good or the food is really not good there,, will visit once again just for the live music not the food can just have few drinks and little starter that's it but would not recommend for lunch or dinner,,, no no big no no

As I am in dubai with my family to visit. Yesterday had a dinner party with my wife's cousin's here in Desi Dhaba.
It was a nice experience of live Bhangra, live singing, and we got a chance to dance as well.
Veg food was not that wow but kk.
Non veg was good.
If you like live music n dance than must visit here once.

Review:

I have been a regular visitor to this restaurant for almost 6 to 7 years, but I'm afraid the quality of both the food and service has been steadily declining. My recent experience was quite disappointing, and I feel compelled to share my concerns.

Firstly, the restaurant failed to manage the crowd effectively, resulting in a blocked view of the stage. It was disheartening to have my experience hindered by this issue. Moreover, the lack of control over kids jumping on sofas and the stage was not only disruptive but also posed potential safety hazards.

Additionally, the behavior of the singers and the staff left much to be desired. Their conduct fell short of the professional standards one would expect. When I decided to voice my concerns about the service, the manager's response was far from satisfactory. Instead of addressing the issue, they complained about the bill, as if it justified the poor service we received. As a group of eight people, we had ordered a variety of items including soft drinks, starters, main courses, chapatis, parathas, and rice. It was clear that we had ordered enough food, yet we were met with a dismissive attitude.

Considering these multiple negative experiences, I have reached the decision not to visit this restaurant again. I hope the management takes these criticisms constructively and works towards improving the overall dining experience.

Went to Broxburn library today to print some documents I needed after making a mess of it .one female member of staff sorted it all out in minutes no problem what so ever well done all the staff at Broxburn library very present and always well mannered thank you

Very enjoyable. The library is always clean and tidy. The categories are well laid out and easy to follow but best of all the staff are ready to help with any enquiries offering the best information.
