What a lovely spot! We had a great trip, the cabins are great and super comfy. The set up with the pool and the beach is great. Towels for the cabin and pool are provided and the kitchen is small but functional. You aren't going to cook a roast in there, but small meals are fine. There is a hob and a microwave in the room and then a pizza oven and BBQ in the communal cooking area by the pool. if you want to use your room bbq you just need to buy the gas. We made a quick pasta when we arrived and then used the communal BBQ for lunch on Saturday which was perfect. There is a hairdryer and shower gel in the cabin. The Cabu corner is perfect and there is a coffee machine and fresh croissant's each morning. Drinks are reasonably priced. We will def be back. Staff are lovely too, makes all the difference!

I had the best time celebrating my birthday with friends at Cabu! The staff when we arrived we so friendly and attentive and made us feel relaxed straight away! The cabin was stunning and we loved the sustainable small touches in the cabin and around the site. The facilities (hot tub, sauna, pizza oven etc) were all so clean and despite all the cabins being booked it really felt like a secluded retreat. I can’t wait to go back and would be the first to recommend Cabu by the sea to anyone looking for a luxury seaside retreat!

My experience at Cabu by the Sea was regrettably less than satisfying. The first impression was soured not at the point of arrival but during check-out when the staff were seemingly more engrossed in their coffee than providing assistance. This lack of attention to customer needs did not speak well of the service. The younger staff that worked the grounds seemed very nice - the older front of house women seemed constantly put out and annoyed by the guests needs.

The rooms, though spacious, suffered from overbearing warmth which hindered the relaxed ambiance one would anticipate from a holiday retreat. The problem was exacerbated by large windows that, rather than offering anticipated sea views, compromised our privacy as they overlooked populated areas such as the swimming pool, the sitting area, and other guest rooms. This is not a place for sea views, just concrete sea walls - if you’re lucky.

The representation of Cabu by the Sea as an 'idyllic hideaway' on their website felt far from accurate. The constant noise from the nearby road replaced the anticipated soothing sound of waves. This disconnect between promise and reality prompted my decision to check out early.

The property itself felt run-down and out of place, more akin to being in the middle of a rough town than a serene coastal escape. This was a stark contrast to the image portrayed online and added to the overall disappointment.

In summary, Cabu by the Sea fell short of its promises. The lack of attentive customer service during check-out, discomfort in the rooms, and the discrepancies between the actual location and its online portrayal significantly marred the overall experience. Future guests considering this property should temper their expectations to avoid disappointment.

I have stayed at Cabu several times. I try to go twice a year; with friends and with my son. We love how you get to totally switch off like when camping but have the luxuries of a proper holiday. The team are lovely. The pool is fab. The frozen margaritas are ace.

Cannot recommend Cabu enough. You will have the most wholesome, cozy, relaxing time. The cabins are stunning and beautifully put together. The location and beach is beautiful. The perfect detox.

Friendly and helpful staff, great location, and really beautiful designed cabins with top quality beds and furniture, all from the company “loaf”. Facilities of an incredibly high standard and the direct access to the beach was a lovely touch. The outdoor pool was lovely and at 30 degrees and drinks by the hot tub really felt like an escape from everything, Highly recommend!

We have stayed at Cabu by the Lakes previously, so we were expecting a similar tranquil, secluded setting with stylish cabins.
The cabins were great, but the lack of oven was an issue - just a microwave and two hobs. The closeness to the sea was also handy.

However, the location was very disappointing. The site is sandwiched between the sea wall, which blocks any views of the sea, and a very busy, noisy A road on a bit of disinteresting grassland. Also a shame there is no proper bar and fire in the sitooterie.

There was no privacy between cabins and our view was the side of another cabin. The road noise dominated the break and we felt there was no "getting away from it all" like we experienced in Ireland.

This was our second stay as a family of 4 adults, my mum dad, myself & my husband & our dog. We absolutely love visiting Cabü, the cabins are cosy, they have everything you need for a couple of days away, the log burner is a personal highlight, you pay £15 and get to use as many logs as needed. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and you always feel very welcomed, the Cabü shop is a nice little touch, ranging from milk and snacks to cute little bits you find in your cabin you can also buy, the coffee machine and morning pastries are a nice touch, it is also a peace of mind knowing someone is always on site if needed. The beach is a very lovely little walk, the sunrise and sunset is beautiful. There is a Sainsbury’s a few minutes drive away which provides you with anything you may need, there is also some very lovely little fish & chip shops around. Watching the wildlife hop around outside is also very sweet to see when you’re resting in your cabin. We didn’t use the hot tub this time around as it was cold, but I do think you should get a free session each day you of your stay. We always have the best time staying at Cabü and always leave looking forward till our next stay. The staff was very sweet with adding a birthday banner put up for me as we was celebrating my birthday. We will definitely be back, pricing is a little expensive, would be nice if they offered discounts to retuning guests.
