I loved the distillery. We booked the tour and it was £12 which was quite reasonable compared to other distilleries. I really recommend the tour I learned a lot about whisky which was so insightful. We tasted 2 whiskies and it was really great after the tour to differentiate between different whiskies. Out of all the distilleries and options I’d pick this again! Really loved it.

I went here with a group tour as part of the included package. The woman who gave our tour was wonderful and answered all of our questions. While most distillery tours tend to be the same, she definitely made this above the average due to her wonderful personality. The tasting was fun as well and they give you a chance to try pretty much everything.

Didn't go for a tour but I did stop in to try their whisky. I had a small dram of their Ben Nevis, served by George who was very friendly and informative. He explained the best way to sample it and to try it first straight and then with a small teaspoon of water to compare tastes.

The Ben Nevis had a sweet honey taste as well as a smoky aftertaste.

Couldn't see everything because the tours were fully booked. Left the shop quite quickly because it was swarming with (very) loud indians. Very friendly man at the gate though a let me see more than allowed at the distillery.

After reading reviews which were clearly wrong dogs are not permitted in the Ben Nevis distillery, bar or building at all. So unfortunately I had rocked up to attempt a tour with the dog. Unfortunately they were booked up but a lovely member of staff looked after my dog whilst so I didn't miss out and got the opportunity to sample the whisky at the bar. The bar staff were brilliant as they gave me some fun facts and info about the whisky and the distillery so whilst I didn't go on a tour still had a fabulous time and a great experience!

Arrived early for our tour and was greeted by a pretty rude man. He asked my name and I told him. He said “you haven’t booked a tour”. “I have” I said. He straight faced said “no you haven’t”, before realising he was looking at the wrong date.

Then again, asked my name and said once more “that name isn’t booked in”. From where I was standing I could see my name in the book. “It is - I can see my name there” and pointed it out. “That’s a coach tour” he said. “No it isn’t, that’s my name at the time and date I booked for”. “But it’s for 26 people?”. Long story short this took far too long to sort out, they then hurried onto a tour that had already started (despite us being 20 mins early for our booked time) and we missed the first 10 mins.

They later explained someone had accidentally thought it was a coach trip (which is silly as it was all booked over email, so there should be no confusion). At no point did ANYONE apologise and made us feel like it was our fault.

Problems aside, it’s a very light touch tour and there are actually far better whiskies and tours in the highlands. Plus the place feels a bit rough around the edges.

Our trip to Scotland was made by the lovely people we met all over our week long trip - aside from the guy here.

Went for tasting experience- told the girl we knew nothing about whiskey and we were there to try a few. She just gave us a menu without any guidance. We paid for a drink and then left. We could have gone to a bar to do that. When I gave the manager some feedback he said ‘you should have asked’ and ‘it’s a two way process’. Unbelievable. If that is the level of customer service from their manager we shouldn’t be surprised at the lack of information from bar staff. Avoid and go somewhere a bit more welcoming and informative.
