Small convenient store with a Cafe Arabicca inside. It is convenient with all the facilities for a quick bite.

The mains we had were very bland, marinated lamb shank? Marinated in what? Water? Tasted of nothing, but the starters that have some spice to them are nice, also the belly pork was nice but the crackling in it tasted of just pure salt! Wayyyy over seasoned. Staff were friendly and service was okay! Will not rush back here again which is a shame as when I’ve been in the past, the food was incredible! But one bad meal puts you off!

We only wished the Barn's for a meal which was excellent. The staff are very welcoming, service was very good , food first class andat a very reasonable price. Can highly recommend. We go there nearly every week and always have a great meal.
We have not stayed at the hotel as we live locally however it is very popular and is nearly always fully occupied which says it all.

Just realised I never wrote a review after my daughters wedding last September. It had been cancelled 3 times due to covid but Bruce had kindly honoured the original quote. The day was fabulous & everyone commented about the great food & service. The bedrooms & breakfasts were also first class, many thanks.

My daughter and new son-in-law had the most beautiful wedding here. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was delicious and plentiful.

It really was the most perfect day. Thank you so much to all the staff who went above and beyond.

We had our wedding here on Saturday and cannot recommend it enough. From our first visit to The Barns to the moment we checked out, everything was faultless. The staff are all so welcoming, friendly and accommodating. I'd especially like to thank John who was on hand for our wedding day and really helped the day go perfectly.

For a hotel that serves many wedding groups they were clearly not prepared nor very experienced in serving large groups. Waiters didn't clear the table without us telling them, they didn't really know about guests having food intolerances, and water wasn't regularly brought to the tables. The restaurant food is mediocre and the breakfast was dire - "we ran out of oats" was the answer when I asked for freshly made porridge because the one from the supermarket had dairy in it.
Rooms don't have water bottles for the guests, but at least are big enough for 2.

Friendly staff, clean rooms ,
lovely wedding venue. Breakfast could be better, I prefer buffet style. Had a good stay .

We went to the Barns for a mother's day lunch, treated by our daughter and Son in law. Also our son in laws parents came. We had prewarned them about my allergies and I must say they were absolutely brilliant. As I was apprehensive, I had a word with Jennie, and she double checked with the kitchen. We had a fabulous meal, and all the staff we met were very pleasant. A special thank you to Jennie, who handled everything really well, and was so pleasant and friendly. xx
