I am a grade 4 student, I love this school so much. There are to many activities we can do, exams not too hard. Would recommend you to apply your child to this school.

Great school-great team! My 3 kids are very happy to be at this school. Our Own English High School, Dubai brings out the best in every child by tapping into their individual strength, while creating an environment of kindness, responsibility and leadership. OOD is home for our family.

I am an ex student who studied in this school. Its the worst school. If this is the last school left on this planet, i will still not get my children admitted to this school. The teachers are the worst and they alone have brought down the reputation of this school. The facilities are good but children need teachers who can support them and motivate them but the teachers here make it a point to degrade the student infront of the whole class or assembly and even physically abuse them like slapping and pulling the ears. Very abusive teachers.
The teachers are filled with indians who have the habit of removing all their anger and pressure on the students. The arabic teachers are all kind.

Dont admit ur child here ..
This is coming from a student who has studied here.

I wanted to enroll my kids in this school as I had heard a lot of positive reviews about this school. When I tried for online application, it kept showing an error message and hence I called them up. They told that there was no vacancy to the specified class for my younger daughter, but I could come and visit the registrar and that it would be useful.
I did visit the registrar and the first sentence she told me was that this is not the only school in Dubai and why am I so insistent on enrolling her here. I was really shocked at the initial sentence and it took a lot of restraint from my side to keep my calm. I really wanted to lash out that I was not desperate and this was the first school that I had visited in person.
I am very sure that my kids are so talented and academically strong that they would get into any school by merit and I am not desperate to enroll them into a school which shows so much attitude.
If an academic head shows so much arrogance, I really pity them and the students learning there. Though this may be an academically good school, I would definitely not rate it high on manners or attitude taught to the kids.(no longer my opinion and details in the edit)
It might have been a one off incident, and things might have been different on a different day; but to prospective parents wanting to register your kids in this school, let this be a warning. Or give your business card as soon as you enter to let them know who you are. I initially did not bother to introduce myself as I wanted my kids to get enrolled on their merit and after hearing the way the madam spoke, did not think introducing myself or my wife necessary as I had made up my mind to admit them in some other school.

Edit:
The principal of the school Mr Thomas called me up to clarify what had happened and he was extremely polite and professional and assured me that this was not the right approach from his staff. Though it does not change whatever happened, I do believe this to be a positive response especially from the head of the school to try to rectify whatever happened. So though, there's not going to be a change in my decision about enrolling my kids elsewhere, I am editing my review and have a change on my initial opinion about this being an entirely unprofessional school.

This school is absolutely the worst schools ever. The teachers like to humiliate the kids in front of the whole class as my child as experienced it multiple times by multiple different teachers. The teachers are very racist. The school doesn't care about the students, the only care about their academic validation and put the students under a lot of pressure. They give useless assignments and don't even give credit to the students , the disregard the work and that is an absolute waste of time and energy for the kids. During exams the students are given homework and its expected to be done the very next day. The staff are extremely rude. If you want your child to be in a good environment I suggest to put them any other school but this.

I really love this school its very good put ur kids in it but the only thing is that if a class is making noise too much next academic year they will shffal the class. I have been in one class from 1-7 and now they tell there will put us in different classes and shffal us. Because too much noise. Pls don't do that many kid suffer form depression from being away from CHILDHOOD FRIENDS. instead you should just ask them to be quiet.

This school barely had academics.I thought there would be basketball football or anything but there is only interhouse contest. The teachers here barely connect with students and there are only a few who are genuine.Even the supervisor is really inconsiderate, like for example Ruby fuzail she is the supervisor of 6 grade and she doesn't look into situations when the classroom is very hot or cold, she normally just says let them freeze or let them sweat. This school's break time is so short like only 20 minutes is not enough. Not to complain about going down during break time or having any freedom to do anything. This doesn't give enough freedom which is also one of the reasons I give this school a rating of 2.
