This is a pleasant little seaside park that includes memorials to little-known Edith, who was (depending on your sources) "married" to Harold who died nearby in 1066 at the Battle of Hastings.

Small garden close to the sea, has a bowling club, grassy area, sometimes converted to a putting course. Most interesting is an old sculpture of Edith finding her husbands body on the battle field after the 1066 Battle of Hastings.

Beautifully landscaped small gardens right on the seafront with plenty of free parking. A simple walk around the border with plenty of beaches to sit and rest if you struggle with long walks. Has a bowls green at one end as well which is still regularly used. Lovely spot to grab some fresh air and get a little exercise.

We were passing through on the Follow that Duck hunt… there seemed to be a travellers encampment on the field which was a little intimidating, the toilets left a lot to be desired and the gardens themselves were in a sorry state and inhabited by a family of rats.
