We came from Oman to uae by car to spend few days . The staff were trying their best however due to a change in visa regulations many people were queueing for visa renewal which made us wait more than an hour to pass although we were not travelling on a weekend or a public holiday . The place has a small duty free area and clean bathrooms if needed . I hope they soon can in increase the number of employees so that travellers do not have to queue that long . On the way back things were quicker as we were travelling post midnight, there had a section for returning VAT

This is the best border to cross very easy and after crossing border dont forget to fill the tank on the petrol station because after you gonna be on the oman express highway which is going straight to muscat

24th July around at 4:30~5:00pm, last check out post of Oman border,
The guy was so rude, suddenly shouting at me and took the small paper.
If they want more tourists and want to give image to the tourists that Oman is a good place to visit, they should first educate those people.

For all Dubai residents, travelling for any accompanying visitors' or tourists' visa change, this is the ideal border. The officials offer quick assistance and smooth process. I specifically mentioned Dubai residents because we were denied entry through other border posts. As of date, you can travel through Al Khanjry Transport buses, but be sure to book your tickets well in advance as they are fully booked all the time. Or you may use a private vehicle with mulkhiya owned by the driver and valid insurance

Ideal border to cross for Dubai visa change, the whole process is convenient and hassle free. Make sure to keep the receipt safe which you get while stamping Dubai re-entry (arrival visa) as you will be asked for it to be furnished at the Dubai customs gate. UAE phone signal loses after crossing Hatta Border...

Oman border side: Bad service and rude responses to a simple question that was referred to the fact of paying for a visit visa just to stay 1 hour in the Oman transit zone (not going to any place in the country) and come back to Dubai. The employees are not worried about the services that they bring, seems like they only care about the money.

*UAE border side was very nice, with wifi and kind employees.*
